He would have no chance! Pirro had a chance, but she faded in the stretch. Save money; forget this race.

Would Cox have a chance?

No. Neither would John Spencer, the former Yonkers mayor who is also in the race on the Republican side. But John Spencer is a conservative who would definitely rough up Hillary!. I'm not sure we could say the same for Ed Cox, a political neophyte.

"Cox May Make Senate Bid"

More truth has never been spoken in fewer words.

If Cox is the nominee, the race will be a referendum on Richard Nixon and Watergate. He has no chance at all. Jeanine Pirro had a shot, but she blew it. I don't even expect her to win the AG race now.

As for John Spencer, I think he has very little chance. But he has the ability to attract media attention and rally the conservative base (not that large in NY). And maybe, just maybe, poll credibly enough to damage Hillary's chances of winning the White House in 2008.

I can just see the N.Y. POST headline the day after the election and the Shrill-one retains her seat.

"Hillary Licks..."

naw...forget it...too easy.

The only one that could have easily beaten hildabeast was John F Kennedy, Jr. Well, they made sure he was taken out literally. Is this the reason Ted Kennedy hates the clintoons so much?

How about a "draft Bill O'Reilly" movement??

He's in NYC ... right?

O'Reilly would TROUNCE Hillary, just like he's trouncing CNN and CNBC - could be be convinced to run?

Alternatively, how about Ann Coulter?

When Cox quit he had a million 104,000 dollars in his treasury. That doesn't sound too bad until you dig a bit and find out that HE PUT IN THE MILLION HIMSELF. He had the best fund raiser east of the Mississippi and couldn't raise more than 104,000K. This story is only in the AP because when the Pataki people try to plant it elsewhere they get laughed at. Only the dope at the AP is stupid enough and/or lazy enough to fall for this crap. Cox would be an ash hole to get back in. He has no support and I have seen a quote from RMN that his son in law was a typical Northeastern liberal. Then there is the story of ole Ed and the Chinese arms dealers that HE PERSONALLY represented, not just his firm, but ole Ed himself. The money was good I guess.
Say good night Ed.
