Christmas came early to us. Yesterday we got our street light back up. Our hill had been pitch-black since Rita. Last night the stars weren't quite so bright but I didn't need a flashlight to get the morning paper.
Today the repairman fixed the microwave and I don't have to worry with finding another and having it installed--the worst part.
It's the things we seldom notice that we miss the most when they're gone. So--
A street light and a microwave that works have made life so much easier.

I am glad you are slowing getting things back. Amazing what you can live without when you have to (not that one is happy about it). I have not been in loop at all re: recovery except from you & another FReeper in NOLA area on another thread. Just no publicity on how slowly the recovery & how devastating the damage. I don't have cable but understand Shep on Fox has been hi lighting Wilma damage.

I have the video on VHS.. not sure if it is anywhere on line where we can post a link. It is a wonderful video.. Purchased at one of the concerts. I have seen MH Holiday concerts 5 times & the other promotional tours about 8 times. When he was promoting the release of Fresh Aire 8, I saw him 5 times that summer at various locations (that was summer 2002). he puts on a wonderful live show.
