SACRAMENTO – Former California Secretary of State Kevin Shelley, who resigned under pressure in February, misspent or failed to document more than $3.8 million in federal election money, according to a federal audit released yesterday.

Shelley, a Democrat, denied wrongdoing but resigned after he was accused of mishandling the money, bending state hiring rules to reward allies, and accepting questionable campaign contributions.

I would never expect a democrat to "misplace" a mere 4 million bucks... nope, no way!
I wonder how much of the missing funds went into Pelosi's campaign.
