FreeRepublic does not accept advertising money - all operating expences are from donations. FreeRepublic is a Not-For-Profit entity
The DUmmies collect their money from advertising, and they cannot claim themselves as a Not-For-Profit. They suck and they have turned into the corporate whores they detest.
They are Radical anti-American Treasonist Money-Grubbers in Hippie Garb....
.....and I love spying on them <]:^)

We should all pitch in to put a Free Republic Ad on the DU. Something nice with a Viking Kitten. Maybe a "FreeRepublic is your Overlord" theme.

I love "For Profit" - they just don't seem to be able to get the money they need from the grass roots. There is no justification for their existance....other than free entertainment for those who spy on them

They suck and they have turned into the corporate whores they detest. What? Liberals did not dig deep into their own pockets and shell out to keep the DU site running every month? Why I am shocked, just shocked!

But the two guys that founded the damn thing (DU) are making a lot of loot with no effort.
I just don't know how anybody could take old hippie drug money and welfare money that these people live on.
Ever notice how so many of the DU'rs are either:
1) thinking about bankruptcy
2) just filed bankruptcy
3) looking for a job
4) just lost a job
5) going back to school
6) dropping out of school
7) at school (HIGH SCHOOL!)
8) blowhard radical wannabe's
9) Canadians

Are you saying that being a for-profit organization is bad?No, but trying to pass yourself off as non-profit when you are not is unethical.
