I am not. I assuming that man is the only species that continues to grow intellectually, while other species remain primitive.

Just for reference, the original quote was
"If man evolved from apes, why are apes still here? Wouldn't they all be man?"
Without a doubt, man is a most unique ape when it comes to matters of intellect. I just don't see how humans developing a higher degree of intelligence would make the other apes disappear.
Your point may have just flown over my head. It wouldn't be the first time I missed something obvious.
