My memory is failing me a little bit here...I seem to remember him writing to his parents from his "training" days and asking them why they thought they owed any allegiance to to the American government (or something to that effect). The American government certainly owes him no allegiance, and should keep him behind bars until he assumes room temperature...

Actually, "so-called American Taliban" is correct. John Walker Lindh actually joined al-Qaeda, not the Taliban.
The press calls him "American Taliban" as a way of supporting him and diminishing his crimes.

Johnny Laden is no better and maybe far worse than the guy who was executed the other day. He really needs to keep a low profile and stop writing letters...the sneaky little creep.

Thank you BayNative for proving my point
The Sun, citing an anonymous source at the prison, reported authorities placed Lindh in the general inmate population in February at his attorney's request.

That piece of scum is still alive, huh? His request is pure chutzpah. There's no cost to betraying your own country. Nothing is sacred anymore, least of all patrotism.
