The Answer, MoveOn.org crowd won't let her tack to center.

Will she pledge to serve her full term? All of her opponents should hammer that question.

Clinton has positioned herself as a moderate in what most speculate is an attempt to gain red state credibility.
She has attempted to pass herself off as a moderate and she is catching hell from her base. She can't pull it off, the political divide is too wide for her to be able to straddle it. It's like the Grand Canyon!

"Former National Writers Union president Jonathan Tasini and former Green Party member Steven Greenfield are hoping to tap into the party's liberal base in this dark blue state.
They are so dumb, they run two candidates, and split the vote. Hilary waltzes home.

Hillary has no fear of losing her Senate seat. None.

two antiwar candidates have announced they will challenge Clinton for the Democratic nomination in New York next year... One of their primary tasks will be to reshape the popular perception of Clinton's ideological makeup... "She has a reputation as a strong liberal..." Reading between the lines:
- The "anti-war" ticket, especialyl when split two ways, has no chance of beating Clinton
- By challenging Clinton on Iraq and her "liberal" credentials, the "challengers" make her look Centrist, which is exactly what she wants
- Ergo, I have to assume that all of this is part and parcel of Hillary!'s plan to run for President in 2008

This is simply a feint in order to allow her to ingratiate herself to the Right.
The conspiracy is vast.

This article isn't very well-written. It refers to Senator Clinton's "husband" but doesn't say who he is. The reader is supposed to know that already? In America, it's never safe to assume any fact is "common knowledge."
