Boxer Impeachment Letter
Boxer senator online ^ | 12/19/2005 | Barbara Boxer

Posted on 12/19/2005 6:48:51 PM PST by stocksthatgoup

Boxer’s letter is as follows:

On December 16, along with the rest of America, I learned that President Bush authorized the National Security Agency to spy on Americans without getting a warrant from a judge. President Bush underscored his support for this action in his press conference today.

On Sunday, December 18, former White House Counsel John Dean and I participated in a public discussion that covered many issues, including this surveillance. Mr. Dean, who was President Nixon’s counsel at the time of Watergate, said that President Bush is “the first President to admit to an impeachable offense.” Today, Mr. Dean confirmed his statement.

This startling assertion by Mr. Dean is especially poignant because he experienced first hand the executive abuse of power and a presidential scandal arising from the surveillance of American citizens.

Given your constitutional expertise, particularly in the area of presidential impeachment, I am writing to ask for your comments and thoughts on Mr. Dean’s statement.

Unchecked surveillance of American citizens is troubling to both me and many of my constituents. I would appreciate your thoughts on this matter as soon as possible.

Sincerely,
Barbara Boxer
United States Senator

There is no evidence whatsoever of any malicious abuse of power in this case;

Give the MSM a few days to report (create) the abuses.

"I just googled Barbara Boxer photos and she's kind of sexy, in that "Mrs. Robinson" kind of way"

I believe you meant to type: "...in that 'MR. Robiinson' kind of way"

Yeah, it's kind of disjointed. This is the FBI and it's not related to the NSA story at all. I think this is just another chapter of this guy's book and he's trying to act like the FBI was doing 70s stuff. I doubt it. I mean I hope they weren't wasting their time on animal cruelty stuff. Sounds weird.

Speaking of, imagine what Patty Murray's overseas conversations might yield.

why wait a few days. James Risen is releasing more book excerpts tomorrow:

NYT TUESDAY: FBI WATCHED PROTEST GROUPS, NEW FILES SHOW // Surveillance, intelligence-gathering operations involved groups active in environment, animal cruelty and poverty relief...

ACLU CHARGES: 'It's clear that this administration has engaged every possible agency, from the Pentagon to NSA to the FBI, to engage in spying on Americans'...

Just listen to Ray Talifero/Bernie Ward on KGO 810 AM radio out of WEIRD San Francisco tonight. These sick people will be trying to whip up the 50 0r 60 people who call in each night (same callers night after night)into a frenzy :-)

Last night, they were saying the DIMS would win back the House and the Senate in 2006 AND in January of 2007, they would impeach President Bush AND Dick Cheney.

Obviously, Barbara Botox smokes the same whaky-tabaky they do.

well, in their minds - its a minority party, some senate RINOs, and the entire US news media structure.

Dean is not in this Administration and DOES NOT have a clue of what is going on

When the investigation is started to see who leaked this to the NY Slimes be sure Boxers name is at the top of the list.

Traitorous bastards would see us all dead to regain power or get rid of George Bush.

Apparently Boxer was not briefed on this back when everyone else was. Reid and his buds don't think she's in the club. Must hurt.

Hmm, a few Senators were not briefed a couple years ago, and recently were; the classified news is leaked. What a coincidence!

No, I believe he actually meant in that Jane Fonda sort of way. That broad looks like Jane Fonda with brown hair and brown eyes and slightly older. Barbara Boxer
Jane Fonda
And both are liberal traitorous moonbats.

I think the left wants the Patriot Act to go away so they can force impeachment proceedings with the hope the public does NOT understand that Congress gave the president the authority to conduct these wiretaps.

Why not? It goes right along with their attacking him for engaging in a war they authorized.

I thought I would never see anything more bizarre in politics than some of the spin that the Clintonistas put out. However, the attacks on the president by those who voted FOR the war are uniquely weird.

Yep. Boxer's constituency is Limousine Commie City in Moonbat County.

They love her there, even though there are redwoods in that district that are more intelligent than BaBs.
