Rush Limbaugh - Live Thread Monday December 19th
Rush Limbaugh.com ^

Posted on 12/19/2005 8:35:20 AM PST by MNJohnnie

Gee Wonder what Rush is going to talk about today? The way Bush just slapped the White House Press Corp around this morning? They have made a SERIOUS error. Bush is pissed.

Or maybe THIS? Simply amazing all the angst in the Failed Media because NSA listened into the coversations of 1,000 or so Al Qeda symps.

Here is the law from another thread tonight.

The pertinent law is 50 USC 1802. Everyone, please read it carefully. No law was broken. Pelosi admits she was briefed (also in accordance with 50 USC 1802):

1802. Electronic surveillance authorization without court order; certification by Attorney General; reports to Congressional committees; transmittal under seal; duties and compensation of communication common carrier; applications; jurisdiction of court Release date: 2005-03-17

(a) (1) Notwithstanding any other law, the President, through the Attorney General, may authorize electronic surveillance without a court order under this subchapter to acquire foreign intelligence information for periods of up to one year if the Attorney General certifies in writing under oath that—
(A) the electronic surveillance is solely directed at— (i) the acquisition of the contents of communications transmitted by means of communications used exclusively between or among foreign powers, as defined in section 1801 (a)(1), (2), or (3) of this title; or
(ii) the acquisition of technical intelligence, other than the spoken communications of individuals, from property or premises under the open and exclusive control of a foreign power, as defined in section 1801

(a)(1), (2), or (3) of this title; [e.g., defined as terrorists /angkor]

(B) there is no substantial likelihood that the surveillance will acquire the contents of any communication to which a United States person [e.g. citizen or perm. resident /angkor] is a party; and

(C) the proposed minimization procedures with respect to such surveillance meet the definition of minimization procedures under section 1801 (h) of this title; and if the Attorney General reports such minimization procedures and any changes thereto to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence at least thirty days prior to their effective date, unless the Attorney General determines immediate action is required and notifies the committees immediately of such minimization procedures and the reason for their becoming effective immediately.

will Feingold and company hold the Patriot Act hostage to their submission of an AlQaeda Bill of Rights? What other rights would Feingold & Co. grant the terrorists, beyond their ability to direct agents here in the US from abroad, without any fear of detection or monitoring? I couldn't believe Feingold on NBCS this AM actually referred to "torture" as if there's really been any. Unbelievable!

During the Clinton Administration, I remember the Rats advocating taking away more of our rights in the name of saftey so we could go after the evil "militias" (funny they seemed to disappear as the big threat). They wanted to have the Government to take away our guns, take away free speech and more. All in the name of safety..

I'm sorry you missed the President's new conference. He was totally on spot and telling it like it is to the press corps.

Thanks Johnnie, I'm listening now.... The Democrats don't realize the SINKHOLE they're in. I hope they continue to sink, far beyond their comprehension. How can any lover of our country and countrymen trust the democrats with their security????? It is a folly that leads to more attacks.

Peach, what Johnnie has posted here is just what you were lokking for yesterday. Here is the LAW that Carl Levin couldn't find, LoL!!! Johnnie is Levin's Buckhead!!!!
