"Are you going to ask for an investigation into the leaks about NSA" and "why did you skip the basic safeguards with the courts".
My personal opinion (president says) is that this is a disgraceful act to disclose secrets in a time of war. I hope the American people understand that there is still an enemy who would like to strike the US and they are dangerous. The discussion about how we try to find them will enable them to adjust. I can understand you asking these questions.
But it is a shameful act by somebody who has got secrets of the US government and feels they need to disclose them publicly.
Let me give you an example about letting the enemy know about what may or may not be happening.
In the late 1990's, we were following OBL because he was using a certain type of phone. The fact that we were following him made it into the press as a result of a leak. And guess what happened. OBL changed his behavior. He changed how he communicated.
We're at war. And we must protect America's secrets so I presume that the Justice Department will order an investigation.

"The original Authority
The Records of the Federal Convention of 1787;
the President is empowered to repel sudden attacks without awaiting congressional action and to make clear that the conduct of war is vested exclusively in the President."
This authorization has been upheld 100% of the time with the Supreme Court.

Ooooh. Says that someone leaked the info that we were tracking OBL by phone, and that lead to him changing his behavior. YESS!
