So...what HAVE you learned in the last 25 years?
Best thing I've read all morning.
Thanks a bunch -- From Utah.
Thank you. That is a much greater compliment than you can imagine.
Schizophrenia?
I saw that.....I have never liked cats. I only like mine who showed up years ago....because he acted like my Rottweiler. He kills things for me and offers them at the back door and waits for me when i get home and runs up the driveway to greet me.
like a dog
i have seen doctors look at the link between cat leukemia and those in families where it's prevalent.
Linda, I'm an old grandma.
:-D
I've learned that "land of the free and home of the brave" is a national delusion.
I've learned that socialism will not work, even if it's so-called conservatives pushing it.
(Aren't you glad you asked?)
How to add twenty-five years to the current date.
Rejoice that at least you're not a Lions fan.
I learned that:
Women expect that they can change the man they marry, but they can't....Men expect that the woman they marry will stay the same...but they don't.
Nobody looks good in a fuzzy sweater.
true dat....all of it!
Are you seriously arguing that one is MORE likely to achieve his goals by NOT going to college? What's your proof?
Using one's personal situation as the norm is foolish. My comment was exclusively about my personal situation. Yours is about yours. "Pshaw" seems to indicate you think college is meaningless for achieving one's goals, and frankly, saying that without knowing WHAT another person's goals isn't particluarly smart. I mean, if my goal in life was to be a microbiologist or brain surgeon, would you so casually dismiss the value of college?
That's correct. But the question was about what we learned in life, and in this case my answer is appplicable to me.
It's official...
you've shown yourself to be an adult. ;o)
Seriously, I love your post.
It's very touching, very true, almost poetic...
and very colorful.
"grandmothers are tops...come to think of it
learn how to drive fast...."
While I love every line of your post,
those two are my personal favorites. ;o)
since I am only 25 years old, I have learned everything I know in that span :)
I've learned that you can be good and you can be different....one doesn't exclude the other.
I've learned that I need lots of sleep to stay sane and can handle solitude better than most.
I've learned that acceptance is the key to inner peace because not everything wrong can be fixed.
Always make a list and determine which is a wanna and which is a gotta have. Often the gotta have list is really short.
You can move anything if you have a tarp, wood posts, a strong back and if all else fails, a relative that owes you a favor.
You can tell the most about a person's character by how they treat those that can do nothing for them.
Somethings you can blame on genetics, but you can only blame yourself for not trying to at least improve on them.
I've learned that some dragons are real, and they have to be fought with all weapons available....friends, Dr.s, meds and most off all, the will to triumph.
A girl can't have too many sequins, feather boas, tiaras, cute shoes, cans of paint, friends, cartons of ice cream, pets, flower beds, memories, african violets, dreams or corsets.
The most important thing I have learned
in the last 25 years is that "Jesus Saves"
Boy Howdy!
