Interesting that a lot of the decline of our culture
can be traced to the 60's. 1962 prayer was taken
out of school. God keeps us civil, polite, brotherly
and kind.
RELEASE TIME should also be used to teach the
civics classes taught to those applying for U.S.
citizenship, as well as the Constitution.

I just wish the rest of Fox would get on the same page as the news division. Fox Sports was giving the generic Happy Holidays greeting on their football games today.

True, but if the pastors at my congregation start talking more about politics than the Savior I will be upset. Church is where I go to learn about the Savior, not what someone's political positions should be (though I do allow some flexibility for moral issues like abortion). Also, I get leery of private entities like churches holding out their hand too much for government funds because of some of the purse strings that follow. I believe there was one case where the guv was trying to tell this church they had to hire gays to work there. I don't want that at all--private churches should remain just that--private and hands off to the government.
Issues like Michael Newdork having under God taken out of the Pledge are bull pucky to me, but I am leery of government intrusion into religion.

My hubby didn't believe in Anti-Catholic hatred, I love this!I wouldn't call it hatred, but even today, in Alabama, my kids are told that they are part of a cult and are not Christians.

by extending the arm out in a straightforward motion. Just kidding. As in receiving more government funds. I believe that gay issue was connected to a church receiving them. I don't need the government telling a Christian church how to believe or act.

I'm impressed. I've been amazed at the DISINFORMATION we have been force-fed by the educational system AND the dinosaur media...
Bravo to Fox News for their attempts to enlighten the public!

The first sixteen words of the Bill of Rights:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...."
The athiest Democrats of the ACLU like to pretend that those last six words aren't there. But there they are.
Unfortunately, the Supreme Court also seems to have forgotten that those last six words are there.

Many Ten Commandments monuments around the country
were placed by Cecil B. Demille in 1943-44 to promote
his epic "The Ten Commandments" with Charleton Heston.
"We'll know an endorsement of religion when Sandra Day
O'Connor tells us it is an endorsement of religion."
Pray for Michael Newdow: Tried to removed "under God"
from pledge. Now he's trying to remove "in God we trust" from our currency.
Seems to me a lot of "nobody's" are using petty religious
issues to find their 15 minutes of fame. Petty. Really petty!

Those religion threads here get downright nasty sometimes. As a newbie, I accidentally replied to a couple of people in a thread that was 2 YEARS old. They picked up right where they left off in the thread and got into a humongous argument. The next time I watched what the date was on the thread.
