Let's consider the lineage to president from diasters in America. After the president, first in line is the vice-president, followed next by the speaker of the house.


Maybe the dumborats are more dangerous than we know. They've got Tom DeLay sitting on the sidelines, and Cheney going to Iraq. Mr President, please watch your back, slimy dimorats are in motion!

I agree with your conclusion. This is beginning to look like an organized bloodless coup. I'm certain Hastert is the third in the line of succession (Speaker of the House), as you said. And after that, I thought it was the Sec. of State. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe Hastert and Sec. Rice need to be taking extra precautions for their own safety.

Your point is a good one about bringing down DeLay being a part of the overall plan to attack and destroy the strongest Republicans. But he wouldn't be in the line of succession unless I'm mistaken.
