The liberal activist whose been trying to draft Hillary Clinton into the presidential race since 2004 says her husband is ruining her chances for the 2008 nomination.
"Bill's position on trying to get her to be centrist is not relevant since 9/11," Bob Kunst tells the New York Post. "People are looking for a leader, not the same old politics."
Kunst runs the web site HillaryNow.com. He ran TV ads in New Hampshire last year in a bid to get Mrs. Clinton to run against John Kerry.
He now fears, however, that the old Clinton triangulation strategy is hurting Hillary with the party's radical base. And for that he blames Mr. Clinton, who he says is "betraying her."....
Clintonism is a Cult!
If the people want a "leader," and Hillary! is blindly following Bill's advice to her detriment, what does that say about her leadership abilities? If "triangulation" is hurting Hillary!, does she have any principles of her own at all, or is she simply doing whatever it takes to win, regardless of ideology.
Now don't hurt your liberal brains too much pondering these weighty issues, all you Hillary! supporters out there.
That Clinton strangulation strategy still works.
FGS, don't try to stop him; let him drag her further left.
I wish she would go more left, so we could stomp her in '08.
Only now is she pissed off at Bill? The Monica thing, and the other BJ events did not anger her, but this is the only time she got crosswise with Billyboy? I do declare she is a person of high principles.
I never forget a face, but in Hillary case I'll make an exception.
The guy's an idiot if he thinks Bill Clinton is responsible for the repugnant and far left kook base hijacking the Democrat party. I don't like Bill Clinton, in fact I loathe him, but I still don't believe Bill is responsible for hurting Hillary!'s chances at obtaining the nomination. Hillary! couldn't triangulate the modern Democrat party if she tried. It's practically impossible, because no one to the right of Lieberman would vote for her anyway.
The only way Ms Clintoon can win is if she can run against John McInsane. I will vote for her before I let the Conservative movement be led by him.
The guy is a womanizer who doesn't even live with his wife, do you think he really wants to go back to the white house, where he would have to be kept on a leash, bored out of his mind, and accept it?
Would any man out there want to be "first husband" after having had the job themselves?
I think he really wants her to lose, so that he can get back to screwing around and having fun and shooting his mouth off every now and then.
And no, Hillary would not trust him to run her campaign and she is to much of a freak to ever let him handle things if she was elected.
Then you're about as obtuse as this disgruntled Hillary supporter in the article.
I don't blame Bill, I'd be a womanizer too if I was married to Hillary! Bill likes to have fun, and hanging around Hillary! doesn't sound like too much fun.
Not obtuse - acute. I would rather suffer four years (maybe eight) of liberal incompetence than one year of conservative betrayal ALA McCain!
I was right. You are obtuse.
Then at least vote 3rd party.
I have no interest in starting a flame war, but if I must - I will. John McCain is the worst thing that has happened to the Republican party and the Conservative movement. He is an egotistical, self-appointed demigod; when in fact he is nobody. He undermines the war for the sake of poll numbers. He is more like the Liberals than the Liberals. I will vote for a Liberal before I vote for a fake Conservative.
Please pass the popcorn...
Look - things are going well. The House is fully Conservative - just look at the stuff they are passing - with 400+ votes. It is the Senate that is the problem - they are acting like Supreme Court Justices. Conservatives need to hold the line!
