Amazing, the day after the historic vote. Ivins is a moron. What color is the sky in her world?

Molly Ivins writing in the 80's and early 90's practically begged for the creation of an analogue on the Right. That analogue eventually emerged and her name is Ann Coulter.

Ivins has been writing nasty little screeds and bitter ad hominem attacks against conservatives for as long as I can remember. Decline in civility? With her, the political discourse has NEVER been civil and its ALWAYS personal. She's just a nasty piece of work and always has been.

With that out of the way, on the substance of her article (such as it is), this is just another example of how the Left has been on the wrong side of history since, well, since forever.

Cold War redux man. It's almost too GD easy. I'm sure anyone with a modest amount of time and a subscription to Nexus could dig up all of Ivins nasty poison pen diatribes against Reagan's policies in conducting the Cold War.

Wrong then, wrong now.

There is zero point in having a debate with the Left. We inhabit different worlds.

I skipped the article. Bagdad Molly is only adept at two things: She can giggle and spit.

Every time another giant leap for the better happens it must drive these Democrats to near distraction.

As to the question as to whether "Iraq was a lie," the brainy liberal says this:

"I factor in the long and awful history of politics and truth, add the immutable nature of pols - fish gotta swim, birds gotta fly - and compare Tonkin Gulf, Watergate and Iran-Contra with the piddly Curveball and Niger uranium."

In other words, politics has been known to be a bad business, therefore it stands to reason that it still is. And since it still is, one must naturally assume that the "business" of politics, in the main, consists of being dishonest.

And, you know, since leaders are known to be dishonest... it's quite evident that BUSH LIED.

Got it? That's the crux of this wonderful little argument.

As one on the liberal side of the chorus of moaners about a contributor to the decline of civility in politics, I feel a certain responsibility.

Ms. Ivins' statement, corrected and truncated for accuracy and honesty.

On the other hand, sanity has its claims, as well.

But not on Ms. Ivins, or on her brethren in the fever swamps of the left.

So Molly Ivins sits down in Texas sits on her fat ass and knows more than our President and staff what is going on in Iraq. Why is that not believable?

Molly Ivins should stick with what she knows best--chewing her cud.

Ivins is a moron.

As is her editor, to allow a sentence like this:

"Draw I deep the breath of patience."

Where's our Jolly Molly?

Molly Ivins is gloomy, NOT gloating.
She knows that her words aren't worth noting.
Her mood is quite saddened
'Cause Iraqis are gladdened.
They're going to polls and they're voting.
