Since there clearly haven't been enough vanities around here today, I figured I weigh in with one:
What are your three favorite Christmas Movies of all time?
Me, I'm going with:
3. A Christmas Carol (staring Patrick Stewart, 1999)
2. A Very Brady Christmas (yes I'm serious)
1. It's A Wonderful Life (one of the finest films of all time)
Alright FReepers, time to opine...

My #1 all time favorite Christmas movie is "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". The original, of course. It is a thing of perfection, and the idea that anyone would even try to remake it is a horror. If you get basic cable, it's on tonight at eight.

3. A Christmas Carol (Reginald Owen, Gene Lockhart), 1938. A "Family Classics" favorite on WGN-TV Chicago back in my youth...
2. Christmas Story -- "Frah - JEE - lee...oh, must be I-TALIAN"...
1. It's a Wonderful Life (for the umpteenth viewing, still the best)

Is A Garfield Christmas playing on tv anywhere? I grew up on that one, along with Charlie Brown (am younger).

1. A Catherine Zeta Jones Christmas
2. It's A Wonderful Life
3. Christmas Story (1983)
4. White Christmas
5. The Grinch (w/Jim Carey. Keep watching it. It's funny the more you watch it)
To: Owl_Eagle
1.
It's a Wonderful Life 2. Scrooge (the Alistair Sim version of "A Christmas Carol")
All others are competing for a distant third place, though I've got a soft spot for "Miracle on 34th Street".

I'm sorry, I do not like to see adaptations of Dr Seuss novels where the Mayor of Whooville's wife has the hots for The Grinch.

>>>>Mine are all cartoons..From IMDb.com:
In 1976 an animated TV version of A Christmas Carol was made. It premiered as a TV special, but was thought to be so excellent that it was released theatrically and pronounced eligible for Oscar consideration.
Alastair Sim and Michael Hordern reprise their roles as Scrooge and Marley from the classic British film version of Scrooge (1951).
The only film version of "A Christmas Carol" to win an Oscar.
