Officer Accused of Damaging Pro-Bush Cars (Fine Example of Liberal Tolerance)
The Drudge Report ^ | 12/16/05 | Robert Weller

DENVER - The Air Force Reserve plans to discharge a lieutenant colonel accused of defacing cars that had pro-Bush bumper stickers, the military said Friday. Lt. Col. Alexis Fecteau, a pilot with 500 combat hours in the first Persian Gulf war and the Balkans, is charged with criminal mischief for allegedly using paint stripper to write a profanity about Bush in 18-inch-high letters on cars at Denver International Airport.

The cars had bumper stickers supporting President Bush and conservative talk-show host Rush Limbaugh. ADVERTISEMENT

Jim Miller, a spokesman for the Air Force Reserve Command at Robins Air Force Base, Ga., said the command plans to begin the process of giving Fecteau an administrative discharge. He said Fecteau does not face any military punishment.

Neither Fecteau nor his lawyer, Patrick Mulligan, immediately returned calls. Mulligan has said Fecteau would plead innocent.

Fecteau is charged with 13 counts of criminal mischief, five of them felonies because the damage to five vehicles was estimated at more than $500 each.

Police said the vehicles were damaged between January and July and a video camera recorded Fecteau damaging a vehicle.

I knew this guy in 6-12 grades in Liverpol, NY. Never thought that he was a nutjob. As a Lt. Col. He's get alot of years in and he threw away quite a bit over someting juvenile.

I agree. Ms Sheehan: please meet your new military adviser.

If Lt. Col. Fecteau had done this to cars with Clinton-Gore stickers circa 1992-2000 the Secret Service would have been on him like stink on a hippie. He would be looking a dishonorable discharge and jail time. Guaranteed.

Liberals simply are incapable of the standards of an officer I guess.

On the other hand, think of all the pressure this poor soul must have been under, as a Kerry-supporting member of the military. Almost as bad as being a Bush supporter on an Ivy League campus!

Subsitute Lt Colonel with Airman or Sergeant and they'd grind him to dust...

Regardless of rank this man should be punished by the military for conduct unbecoming.

Truly shameful that a man who has reached the rank of LtCol would be that painfully stupid. For crying out loud, that equivalent to a full Commander in the Navy/Guard. He must be a real boot-licker, 'cause he's not LtCol material.

The local Dem headquarters is located in my office complex and up until the last election, had a Dem Congressman's office next door. I had my truck "keyed" in 2000 in the parking lot, hubby won't allow bumper stickers on my vehicle anymore. I still have to go out and raise hell about people that visit those offices leaning on my truck or letting their kids climb on it, they have no respect whatsoever for other's property.

Military Pension? As a reserve officer he will not recieve any military pension unless he had 20 years of active military service. If he has less than 20 years of active military service as a reserve he recieves NO PENSION until age 65. BUT he is no longer a reserve, so he will not recieve ANY pension. NONE.

Has his pension been stripped? No...thought not.

Another article says he's 42. Figure he likely graduated college at around 22 and probably entered the service shortly thereafter. There is a good chance he pulled this stunt with just under 20 years of service. He probably won't qualify for a pension.

I'm going to give this guy a break....he probably flew high-altitude jets and the lack of oxygen to his brain is what made him do whack-job things like defacing someone's automobile.(I knew if I thought about it that I could come up with a lame-brained excuse) :0 )

He won't get a pension. I believe the ANG has to serve until age 55 to collect a pension and this guy won't make it.

If the criminal was on active duty at the time he should receive punishment from the military as would any enlisted person.
