But doesn't this just tell the story of what today's Democratic party has become and what's taken hold of them? These people are possessed of a demonic hatred and intolerance that is just scary. Here in Hell A (L.A.) I didn't dare put a Bush bumper sticker on my car during the election for fear of being shot at or having my car torched. What's gone wrong with a political party and its adherants who become this hate-filled and malacious? It begins to remind you of the Nazi brownshirts.
IMHO, that's light punishment.
Has his pension been stripped? No...thought not.
Ditto.
yellow stripe down his back, break his ceremonial sword,. boot his ass out the fort gate
He'll turn up on CNN as a military expert.
Yeah, but it sounds like the colonel is a few fries short of a "Happy Meal."
If someone tells me they don't like my pro=Bush sticker that is fine. But when they put paint stripper on my car...it's time to rumble.
I am sure they will reiterate the fact that he was punished for property damage, not for his protests.
I am also sure a lawyer from the ACLU is on his way.
"He'll turn up on CNN as a military expert."
I had a similar thought. I almost guarantee you this guy will be co-opted by the Cindy Sheehan crowd and at some point will show up at one of their rallies parroting their seditious swill. And the news media will use him to lend credibility to those low lives, never once mentioning that's he a criminal who was forcibly discharged from the military.
John Murtha and John Kerry will welcome him into the inter sanctum of the demorat party.
Boy, that hard sentence will really give anyone else second thoughts on doing the same thing..... /sarcasm
The military tries to refrain from double jeopardy in off duty criminal cases. The LtCol is getting the boot by virtue of disqualifying himself, plus whatever prosecution the civilain authorities pursue.
"Fecheau, Fecteau!"
What kind of French-sounding, girlie-name is that??
Sickening!
I knew that.Crimes committed off base while the soldier is off duty is punished per the policies/laws of the civilian jurisdiction involved.
What I was hoping for was that his discharge will cost him his pension...particularly if he's only a few months from hitting 20 years.
He is getting the appropriate military punishment. He still faces civilian felony charges. Vehicle owners may also take civil actions against him. The insurance companies might go after him too. The stupid jerk is a disgrace to the US Air Force. As a USAF retired senior NCO,
I would like to know more about this Lt Col's background.
I worked security at President Bush's appearance in Davenport, IA in Aug 04 (Kerry was in town the same day, his bus caravan passed right by with his long face hanging out the window). My truck was scratched up to the tune of $780.00 damage. When I called the cops they said "you are the first we've heard from - BUT WE EXPECT MORE"!
Is he French ? Fecteau, Bordeau, Clouseau, It's all the same.
