Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry was arrested for marijuana possession early Thursday morning.
Police arrested Henry, 22, in the 300 block of Philadelphia Street in Covington.
He posted at least 10 percent of a $1,000 bond and was released from jail.
Henry is a Bengals rookie from West Virginia University.
It's unclear how the drug arrest will affect Henry's season.

Have the Cowboys tried to trade for him yet, or do they hold out for cokeheads and heroin users?

ALI G: "So for people out there...what is its'(marijuana's) effects"?
DEA AGENT:" It slows down your brain and its' functions, it impairs your ability to learn..it doesn't stop your brain function, but it really slows down the learning curve"
ALI G: "And is there any negative effects?"
DEA AGENT: "Well, that would be a negative effect"
ALI G: "And how much would sumthin' like this costs?" (pointing to bag of weed)
DEA AGENT: "Well, that would really depend on the quality of the weed, there is some weed now can go for over a thousand dollars a pound"
ALI G: "You was really getting ripped off, I can get that much cheaper"
DEA AGENT: "Well not really, it depends upon the quality"
ALI G: "Does you think people move on from the herb to harder drugs?"
DEA AGENT: "Well it has been frequently referred to as a "Gateway Drug"
ALI G: "So, does you recommend this as a good first smoke?"
DEA AGENT: "Absolutely not"
ALI G: "So just to make this clear, all this (pointing to all kinds of bags of weed, rolled joints, bongs and pipes) stuff so far is legal"
DEA AGENT: "No, all this is illegal"
ALI G: "What? No?...Ok then if it aint legal but it's just for personal use and you just got like, half a kilo at home or whatever, that's alright innit?"
DEA AGENT "No, not in the United States, in the United States it's still illegal"

Yeah, didn't Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert say that America was going to be a drug-free nation by the year 2003??? What an idiot!
Leave Chris Henry alone...as long as he was using responsibly, then he's not a threat to anyone else. Hell, I wish I could have invited him over!

He should have been arrested for stupidity:
Henry, a third-round pick from West Virginia, was stopped by police in nearby Covington, Ky., at about 2 a.m., according to a police report. He was driving a vehicle with expired tags, had an expired license and was speeding, police said. Officers said they also found two small bags of marijuana on Henry, who was charged with possession.

I have inlaws in Cinci, and we visit often. If I'm not mistaken, Covington is a seedy place anyway. I've heard my bro-in-law and his buddies talk about that town before, in not so good terms.

Covington is on the south bank of the Ohio River across from downtown Cincy. Most of the downtown nightlife happens on that side of the river. Most of the pro sports players seem to choose the Ky side to live also.

I believe Covington has been largely redeveloped and its seedy past is history.

Hey now, watch it! ;)Well, it's not like Darrell Russell or Michael Paul Bastianelli are available at the moment.
Although in the Cowboy's defense, it has been several years since a player has ODed on Herion (or, to be more careful, has fatally ODed on Herion). And Irvin has only been arrested once this year - and that was only related to marijuana, not the hard stuff.

Ahhhh, that's right. That's where Pachinko's is. We went there to get booze for sister-in-law's wedding. Much cheaper over there.
