The entire 1994 deal was a big hoax to cover up the intelligence failures once again and to push the crisis onto a future administration. The left continues to blame Bush for ignoring and allowing N. Korea to produce a nuclear weapon at the same time pointing to the sucess of the Clinton approach to diplomacy. What a bunch of BS!! This proves further the disaster that was the Clinton Administration.

When is that man's legacy of crap going to die? What will we do if his 'wife' gets to the whitehouse if Bush can't get back the popularity that made him great before??!

North Korea -- the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) -- already has close to 10 operational nuclear warheads for its ballistic missiles, and two nuclear devices that can be carried by truck or transport aircraft. All the weapons are 50kt nuclear warheads, each weighing around 500kg (1,100lb.)hing around 500kg

When and where did they test the devices?

I'm not sure about this because I think the N. Koreans are the kind of freaks that would detonate a test nuke as soon as they had a couple built. Not unlike the Pakistan and India nuke test exchange, the N. Korean nuclear program is about nationalism. You don't really join the club until you pop one off.

Frankly, I think the Clinton administration was blindsided by that idiot Carter who flitted off to North Korea to play peacemaker with nareley a word to anyone.

Granted Clinton could have neutered Carter, but upon thinking about it Clinton decided it was best to take a pass. For that, he was the consumate moron, bested only by the peanut-brain Carter.

It can be explained away by saying it just depends on what the meaning of "nuke" is.

When and where did they test the devices?

Presumably, using stolen Los Alamos supercomputer simulation software, running on a massively parallel array farm of Hong Dong Krispy Creme thirty one and a half bit Cantonese language microprocessors.

If I recall the news back then .. Clinton was pretty ticked at Carter for stepping into this and the agreement

But Clinton didn't do anything about it and went along with the agreement

These two adminstrations are notably the two worst Presidential disasters and embarassments that the loons of the left have given this country. They were both incompetent, NEGLIGENT, and criminal in case of Clinton who should be gracing a cell of a federal prison for HIGH TREASON against this country. Total disgust at the mention of either of their names.

That's exactly what I remember as well. Clinton didn't want to take Osama Bin Laden into custody, and didn't want to step up to the plate here either. Carter just gave him an out and Clinton threw himself prostrate at Carter's feet and held on tight.

If you look back at Johnson, Carter and Clinton, it's hard to take a democrat serious who contends they are what is best for this nation. Look at what those three loons did to our nation.

Since Kennedy, the left hasn't fielded one reasoned person for the White House. Even Kennedy had some terrible moments. Who knows where he would have wound up.

Yes, I agree, that Kennedy was the last of "real" Dems, in spite of his inherited criminality. After him, the Dems swung way off the scale to the left..and now we have a bunch of raving socialist power-mad idiots with NOTHING for America, no agenda, no vision, no patriotism, no guts...just a bunch of liars and criminals focused regaining power...and absolutely NOTHING ELSE.

How did Carter get the clearance to do that? The Clinton admin. must haved okayed it...

If I recall .. he didn't have the ok by the Clinton Administration

He just went .. brokered a deal and then had a news presser to announce it

It was reported that Clinton was not happy at what Carter did .. but he went along with it anyhow

I think Kennedy was a basket case as well, but the point is made going back to Johnson. I could make a pretty good case for Truman being the last reasoned Democrat to inhabit the White House, I'm just not in the mood to dump on Kennedy even though he richly deserves it.
