Then this should be a self-regulating system. Swedish women *should* then choose to not have anything to do with those Swedish men who do not stand up for them, and *should* choose to mate with those Swedish men who *do*. Simple eugenics takes care of the situation in a generation or two.

For many this is true, but not all. You must not be following the news very closely. There have been numerous legal problems with illegal immigrants in the US - serial rape, serial murder, drug trafficking, forced prostitution, and manslaughter. While it's true that US illegals do not rationalize their crime with religion, I don't think it matters to much to the victims.
