Child Killer Was a Pothead
Accuracy in Media ^ | December 15, 2005 | Cliff Kincaid

The George Soros-funded campaign to legalize marijuana has run into a problem. Joseph Smith, convicted and sentenced to death for the abduction, rape and murder of 11-year-old Carlie Brucia, has been exposed as a pothead. In an unsuccessful ploy to spare his life, his attorneys argued that he was a drug addict, used drugs on the occasion of the Brucia murder, and began his involvement with drugs by smoking marijuana. It looks like marijuana didn't have many "medical benefits" in this case.

Proudly bragging about their drug use on a Conservative site.

Conservatives, including Ronald Reagan, have always opposed marijuana prohibition.

I have read both articles, and just because this guy says some people told him so, just doesn't convince me. Again, if people would fess up and say they were there, and that they heard it themselves, I'd be far more inclined to believe it.

What morons call "globalism" is generally Free Enterprize in operation. Hence they are opposed to the principles and system which has made America the world's greatest, strongest and most envied nation.

We see their demonstrations throughout the world led by and peopled by anarchists, communists, and the randomly deluded. Why would you believe or support anything they do if you claim to be a conservative?

What kind of nerd writes $hit like this? Also, don't excerpt articles unless it's required. It pisses me off.

I have no desire to "kill" those who try and pass this nonsense off as truth. Laughing at them is much more fun.

It is Liberals who buy into the whackjobs hysteria about globalism and outsourcing and Walmart not conservatives.

Jesus didn't drink alcoholic wine. The wine referred to in the Bible is what we would call grape juice.

Then why do modern day churches celebrate communion with alcoholic wine?

Pot inspires petty theft. I've seen it. Several instances. No, it doesn't normally inspire violence, it makes people lazy. But they will steal to support their habit if it's not too much trouble.

Maybe the folks who are in the know about it will fess up later...but @ the moment, they are congressional aides & would be strung up w/ piano wire (or @ least lose their jobs & have their political career destroyed) if they told the public what actually happened.

I hope the press will eventually delve into this a little deeper & we will find out what actually happened...but of course, depending on what comes out, SOME folks (are you listening justshutupandtakeit ?) will refuse to accept it if the facts don't mesh w/ their beliefs about President Bush....kinda like how the Holocaust-denying Iranian President is behaving.

Actually, there is no evidence for or against this. What we do not for sure is that he was against drunkenness.

In the Old Testament there are 3 Hebrew words that are all translated as “wine”.
YAYIN: Intoxicating, fermented wine (Genesis 9:21).
TIROSH: Fresh grape juice (Proverbs 3:10).
SHAKAR: Intoxicating, intensely alcoholic, strong drink (often referred to other intoxicants than wine) (Numbers 28:7).

The New Testament, translated from Greek, uses the word “wine” for both fermented and unfermented drink. There are 2 Greek words for wine the New Testament.
OINOS: Wine (generic) - Matthew 9:17 -- unfermented, Ephesians 5:18 -- fermented.
GLEUKOS: Sweet wine, fresh juice (Acts 2:13).

No, actually the liberals are in cahoots w/ the neocon globalists to a certain extent...they & the neocons are in bed together on that issue. The liberals want to use the UN as their goal to destroy American sovereignty, while the neocons want to use so-called "free trade" agreements (which are actually managed trade), ignoring our borders, the invasion of illegal immigrants, & policing the globe to achieve theirs.

These left-wing anarchists are upset because of the use of corporations (& the profit motive as a whole) to achieve globalization, not globalization itself. The neocons aren't working fast enough for them.

It's a lot like the difference betw. socialists & communists...their goals are exactly the same, but the socialists desire to achieve their utopia by evolutionary means (little by little), while the communists aren't so patient & insist on using revolutionary means.

How convinced would you be if this same article was written about Billary Clinton rather than President Bush?

Why, I bet you would be thinking to yourself, "I knew it! I knew it! This just proves that they're both scumbags!" (which they ARE, BTW). You would accept this article w/o question, correct?

Marijuana isn't physically addictive....alcohol, meth, tobacco, & heroin are, but not pot.

I know, 'cuz I used to be a tobacco/nicotine addict. I couldn't go more than 2 hours w/o getting those terrible withdrawal symptoms; while laying off marijuana doesn't bother me one bit, which I actually do from time to time.

Given what I know about Clinton (Bill or Hill), versus what I know about President Bush, I would be more inclined to believe it about the Clintons, but no, I would NOT accept this about the Clintons without proof, or at least testimony, because the accused statement means the the one who may have said it has abandoned everything that they are supposed to uphold as the person that holds the title of President of the United States.

Just as when the National Enquirer published the article about the "Clinton Love Child," I thought "given what I know about him, that wouldn't really surprise me," but I didn't believe it right off the bat. And it was later disproved.

I laid off smoking, and it took me quite a few years to stop feeling the craving. But the longer I went, the less intense it was. I don't know if pot is addictive, but it's habit forming, in the sense that people want to get that pleasant feeling, or deal with boredom or irritability or a bad mood. In other words, it may not be physically addictive, but I think it's psychologically addictive.

I agree that nicotine is physically addictive. Alcohol is not addictive for me. I drink a beer a day, but I don't notice any craving if I don't have one for a few days. I'm sure it's different for alcoholics.

Cutting back on coffee gave me headaches for several weeks, and that was the extent of it. Just a matter of adjusting to a different caffein level.

That sounds reasonable to me, & I appreciate hearing your feedback.

Re: the article about President Bush, I was a little curious until I read further down that the author had sources that were actually there & were REPUBLICAN Congressional aides....I still didn't wanna believe it, 'cuz of all of the hoopla I've heard about him being a "man of faith".

But then the 2nd article was written a few days later--& although I'm STILL NOT 100% sure w/ the article, I refuse to ignore something that may actually be true. That's why I would like to find out more from the press on this incident.

President Bush isn't holy, & it's utterly foolish to think he is. We have GOT to start holding our elected officials more accountable for their words & their deeds (especially), regardless of what side of the political aisle they come from.

No, the story about clinton's love child, Danny Williams, was never disproved. Murdoch and Drudge were played for suckers by the story that Danny's DNA matched clinton's DNA in the Starr report. They went with big headlines, and then clinton's handlers proved that the DNAs were different.

What nobody was able to say at the time was that Starr used a fake DNA sequence in the report, because it was decided that clinton's real DNA was classified. Naturally Danny's DNA didn't match it, because it was a fake. Having made a public fool of himself, Drudge presumably decided it was useless to follow it up again, because the MSM would never let people forget that he was wrong once.

While clinton was president, he went into an English pub and had a beer. After he left, secret service agents confiscated the beer mug, presumably because it might have some of clinton's DNA on it. The reasons are speculative, but the incident was factual.

It's also certainly true that Clinton was a cokehead while he was down in Arkansas, as well as a marijuana smoker. He had close connections with drug dealers. Several big dealers donated to his campaign. His youthful friends in Hot Springs belonged to the Dixie Mafia. And he was involved heavily in the drug smuggling operation out of Mena Airport as Governor of Arkansas.
