It is 10 pm on the US East Coast...and 6 am December 15 in Baghdad. The Iraqi polls will be opening soon...millions of Iraqis are about to experience for the first time that rush one gets when you vote for the first time.
God Bless our troops and may god bless the voters in Iraq as they head to the polls.
Let Freedom Ring!!!
I know, but it has to be bitter sweet, especially for the children. I look at my own five children and just wonder how it would be for them to grow up without their father. The little ones are just not old enough to understand. They just want the mom or dad to be with them.
Praying for Iraqis, but mostly I'm praying for the families of those who have died. That they will have peace, and not be swayed in the least by the press.
OK, now I am really going to bed.
Jenny
The cover company Plame worked at that was responsible for WMD procurement and shipping (while keeping track of who wanted what).
Haven't been following this thread - work you know - but I couldn't resist showing off: Brewster-Jennings is the CIA front company where Valerie Plame-Wilson was employed.
Very little known about this company who didn't make it big on google before "Plamegate"; energy consultant, whatever that means.
:)
Oh, what a beautiful prayer.
Oh, I'd read that once, I think. That gives us reason to be suspicious right there.
You bet wow.
Prayers are up.
Good night Jenny.
I am so far behind the loop on that story. Much as I tried to keep up, the deeper freepers dug, the more dirt there was until I needed a flow chart to keep track.
You have a VERY good memory, along with a few other freepers.
Very wise.
DFU SONG: Christmas 2005 - Jingle Bells (Jingle Bells, Saddam smells; reprise from 2003 capture)
DFU CHRISTMAS 2005 COLLECTION | 12-2005 | Lyrics, Doug from Upland

MIDI - JINGLE BELLS - 1st version
Dashing through the sand in their camouflage Humvees
It's the 1st Brigade...the 4th Infantry
They felt it was big...something's in the air
They're steadfast and they're loyal...guess who they found hiding there
Oh, jingle bells, Saddam smells, in his spider hole
It got worse, his Depends burst...he had no bladder control
Jingle bells, Saddam smells, in his spider hole
It got worse, his Depends burst...he had no bladder control
They had focused well...job's nearly complete
In their language there is no word called "defeat"
They bagged the Ace of Spades...that's in the deck of cards
A message to you, Saddam, babe -- George Bush sends his regards
Jingle bells, Saddam smells, in his spider hole
It got worse, his Depends burst...he had no bladder control
Jingle bells, Saddam smells, in his spider hole
It got worse, his Depends burst...he had no bladder control
Special Ops pitched in...with Task Force 121
When the war began...Saddam's on the run
The 4th pulled it off...they're a mighty force
Saddam learned one more word in English --- that is Ironhorse
Oh, jingle bells, Saddam smells, in his spider hole
It got worse, his Depends burst...he had no bladder control
Jingle bells, Saddam smells, in his spider hole
It got worse, his Depends burst...he had no bladder control
They are far away...Christmas in Iraq
Keep them in your prayers...until they all come back
It's time to send our thoughts...a message loud and clear
A grateful nation sends to them a hearty Christmas cheer
Jingle bells, Saddam smells, in his spider hole
It got worse, his Depends burst...he had no bladder control
Jingle bells, Saddam smells, in his spider hole
It got worse, his Depends burst...he had no bladder control
It is no surprise...some are saying cut and run
We'll be finishing...that which was begun
Bush will stay the course...evil's gonna lose
Fifth columnists, the time is now to prove which side you choose
Oh, jingle bells, Saddam smells, in his spider hole
It got worse, his Depends burst...he had no bladder control
Jingle bells, Saddam smells, in his spider hole
It got worse, his Depends burst...he had no bladder control
Christmas. Shopping with a purple finger to let our friends in Iraq know how much we support them...
Priceless......
Good one. Dashing through the sand. It has a certain ring to it! 'nite
And my purple turtleneck! I expect a LOT of questions tomorrow. LOL
Good night, ElephantinTexas; hope to see you tomorrow.
Doug,
You're so brilliant,it's unbelievable. Joy to the World. Saddam Hussein's jail. Wassail. Wassail.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night on this historic day!
Do you realize that this war is unwinnable and you are in a quagmire?
What is your exit strategy?
Do you think Iraqis are worried what might happen if you pull out?
What is your torture policy?
Have you set any benchmarks?
I don't see any evidence that you a plan. What's the plan, Stan?
How's your reconstruction plan going?
IF you could win the war, how would you win the peace?
lol whenever I think about it
Saddam got run over by a HMMVV,
Frog-marching to his cell on Christmas Eve...
:^)
There's an on site report from Roggio who is in Barwana which is near Haditha and Haqlaniyah --- in other words, deep in Sunni territory. About two hours ago he reported that turn out was heavy.
http://rapidrecon.threatswatch.org/2005/12/election-day-in-iraq/
This is in an area that Zarqawi used to control. Roggio notes:
"The poll site sits right where Zarqawis terrorists executed residents for not conforming to al-Qaedas perverse brand of Islamic law."
Please don't tell me turtlenecks are back in for Men.
I have a great purple tie and I'll be here all night in prayer for our troops and a safe election.
