The Western Wall is the last remnant of both Solomon’s Temple, which was destroyed by the Babylonians in the 6th Century BC, and the Second Temple, which was destroyed by the Roman Tenth Legion under Titus in AD70.

In the lowest part of what was actually a retaining wall for the Temple platform, huge stones with neat borders remain from Solomon’s days. Then on the top of these are smaller, less ornate stones that were installed at the time of the building of the Second Temple.

The Western Wall is the only part of the Temple area that was left standing after the Romans thoroughly

A different version of this same story was posted over last weekend and somebody had commented that the western wall was pali territory because mohommed had tied up his horse there before ascending to heaven. I thought he was being sarcastic, LOL. Turns out he wasn't.

Mohamed was never in Jerusalem.
He had a (drug-induced?) dream about being in a far away place. In the latter part of the twentieth century, the "palestinians" decided it must have been Jerusalem.

Recently I saw a discussion that the ancient name "philistines" mant invaders. As an insult to the Jews, the Romans named the land Philistia or Palestine. Truth in history is hard to extinguish. Arafat invaded Israel from Jordan(palestine) and his terrorist heirs still cling to proclaiming that they are invaders with no rights to Isreali lands. as they follow the plo banner of invasion and theft and murder.
