Army strikes in Gaza: Air Force fires missiles at vehicle traveling in Gaza City Wednesday afternoon; Palestinian sources say four people killed, four others wounded. Senior Islamic Jihad commander apparently killed
At least four Palestinians were killed and at least four others sustained wounds after the Air Force fired missiles at a vehicle traveling in Gaza City’s Sajaya neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.
Palestinian sources said an IDF gunship fired several missiles at the vehicle carrying five people, apparently members of the Islamic Jihad’s al-Quds Brigades. Some of those wounded were passersby.
Some of those injured sustained serious wounds.
The al-Quds Brigades’ general commander and two of his escorts were apparently among those killed. However, the Palestinians refused to provide the names of the dead and said they have not yet confirmed their identity.
Following the recent suicide bombing in Netanya, the IDF has renewed its targeted assassination policy, targeting several members of the Fatah’s al-Aqsa Brigades in recent days.
Meanwhile, several Palestinian groups announced they were no longer committed to the intra-Palestinian lull in violence.

IAF airstrike targets terrorists outside Gaza City
The IAF attacked a car outside of Gaza City on Wednesday afternoon in which four suspected terrorists were traveling.
Members of the Popular Resistance Committee were allegedly on their way to commit a terror attack when the military struck them down.
The military would not say where it thought the car was headed.
Palestinian reports said at least two men were killed in the targeted attack.
A large blast followed the attack, due to the mass of explosives concealed in the vehicle.
The IDF said that the targeted men had been involved in numerous mortar and rocket attacks against Israel in the past.
Dozens gathered in an angry crowd outside the hospital morgue and emergency room, chanting, "God is Great" and "Destroy Israel."
