Apparently some here believe President Bush to be a King or Dictator, with unlimited power. He is not, we are a Constitutional Republic, with Congress and the courts sharing power.
President Bush can recommend, but not pass laws. Only WE THE PEOPLE can change the current border policy by electing Congressmen who will tighten the security.

"Changing the subject of illegal immigration won't make it go away. Sorry."

at what point do you not understand the oath of office of the president..who ALONE is "Commander in Chief" not the congress. Unsecured borders and not enforcing the immigration laws may make a case for being complicit in a felony- if so impeachment is the remedy.

Bert, do you happen to remember who was president when the National Guard of Texas was deployed to guard our southern border? If I remember correctly it was Clinton, however, then Governor Bush did secure the border of Texas.
There was an incident, a sheepherder was accidental killed by a young guardsman and all heck happened. The media, congress, and then President Clinton crucified Governor Bush. Might I add, the Guard was removed from the borders never to be seen again.

Go ahead and try to impeach. You've been trying for almost six years.

There wasa 60 Minutes pice on immigration control.
The press interviewed Tancredo, a Latino Activist, an apologist for illegal immigration who had worked for the INS, a pro-immigration economist, and a border agent.
Either the economist or the former INS empoloyee lied about the threat of terrorists. The CBS reporter went even further, ridiculing the threat.

Your tagline will be painfully ironic, I predict. Juxtaposed to the images from Beslan....
When- sorry, IF it happens here, it will not be a merry Christmas. It will be a very bad Christmas, if that ever happens.

President Bush can recommend, but not pass laws. Only WE THE PEOPLE can change the current border policy by electing Congressmen who will tighten the security. But apparently if there is a law that has been passed by our elected representatives that he does not like, he feels free to just ignore it. For all practical purposes, by refusing to enforce the law, he repeals the law in a very unconstitutional manner.
What good will electing new representatives that will pass even tougher laws do if the President steadfastly refuses to make any effort to enforce the laws we already have?

It was an article in our local newspaper, the Sierra Vista Herald at www.svherald.com
The AP ran the story, I believe, but the larger papers (Arizona Republic) didn't carry that part of the report from the Border Patrol/Homeland Security.

Harsh words of sedition called a "peaceful" religion.
Chorus:Doo, doo, doo, sneakin through our back door.
Donkeys and the elephants don't seem to understand.
