CINDY SHEEHAN'S GRAVE PHOTO-OP(Words fail me...)
The Corner ^ | Dec 13,2005 | Byron York

The January 2006 issue of Vanity Fair includes the magazine's 2005 Best of the Best -- "Heroes! Winners! Guilty Pleasures!" -- feature. Among those honored are the cast of ABC's "Lost," chosen as "Best Find"; the cast of FX's "Nip/Tuck," chosen as "Best Lift"; and aging rockers Sir Bob Geldof and Bono, chosen as "Best Ambassadors." But the choice that catches the eye -- and the breath -- is in the "Best Stand" category. In a two-page spread, winner Cindy Sheehan is photographed lying full length in the grass at her son Casey's grave at the Vacaville-Elimira Cemetery in Vacaville, California:

Some cemeteries don't allow headstones, too, but obviously that's not one of them. Very odd he hasn't any.

Veterans are indeed entitled to a Gravestone.

In fact thanks to president Bush they are easy to get.

It used to be that if you had a Private marker you could not get a military marker. President Bush changed that and now you can have both. All you have to do is go to the Funerla parlor that buried your Veteran and have them ask for the marker It is without charge.

I understand that, but many cemeteries, regardless of previously allowing traditional headstones throughout the cemetery, will no longer allow doing so at all; others may allow it to continue, but only in a certain area.

Looking at it some more - it's real. Some of the oddness I saw probably due to Mr. York's equipment.

It's probably time to move past Cindy Sheehan. IMO it is obvious she has psychological problems and the left should be damned for exploiting her. She has become harmless. Let her go.

"Looks like Vanity Fair doesn't have much of a vetting process, huh?"

LOL ~ I didn't realize you had such a gift for understatement!

I used to mostly love it too, before that pretentious fop Graydon Carter caught Bush Derangement Syndrome from his nitwitted Hollyweirdo pals. Now the magazine is nothing more than a hybrid of Mother Jones and The Nation, plus fifty pages of perfume and fashion ads.

Mrs. Sheehan is a very sad woman and unless she's very careful, she will find herself in her grave sooner than she had planned. She just seems to me to be headed in that direction. All of her energy is directed toward herself and she's slowly losing media attention; she's even had to go to Europe for it. Once she loses their attention, what does she have left? I don't like what this woman has been doing to the war effort, our president and the entire country for that matter. But I hate to see anyone so pathetically headed to self destruction. I hope she find genuine peace.
