CINDY SHEEHAN'S GRAVE PHOTO-OP(Words fail me...)
The Corner ^ | Dec 13,2005 | Byron York

Posted on 12/13/2005 12:17:39 PM PST by Dog

The January 2006 issue of Vanity Fair includes the magazine's 2005 Best of the Best -- "Heroes! Winners! Guilty Pleasures!" -- feature. Among those honored are the cast of ABC's "Lost," chosen as "Best Find"; the cast of FX's "Nip/Tuck," chosen as "Best Lift"; and aging rockers Sir Bob Geldof and Bono, chosen as "Best Ambassadors." But the choice that catches the eye -- and the breath -- is in the "Best Stand" category. In a two-page spread, winner Cindy Sheehan is photographed lying full length in the grass at her son Casey's grave at the Vacaville-Elimira Cemetery in Vacaville, California:

It so amazingly simple for someone to improve a photo today with all the different computer programs, that it makes it hard to tell if some pictures are really telling the truth. Of course the people who worked on this photo high lighted her face and didn't seem all that concerned with the finer details that says it's a picture of lies and a lousy whore of a mother. She must be feeling Casey rolling in his grave. What a SICKO.

I think lighting highlighted her head.

The lack of shadow from the flowers is because they're fake - they were inserted.

I've said it before: If this foul bio-error actually feels pain at the loss of her son then it is one more thing to be grateful to her son for.

Mary Frye's poem comes to mind.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

They had to think of something quick to get the photos of her catastrophic book signing out of the collective memory:

H*ll no! She was all sweetness and light when she met President Bush face to face ~ although she's telling an entirely different story about the experience, now! Of course, her first encounter and how she felt about it WAS documented at the time in print, but the truth hasn't been a factor in her life since she hooked up with the skerry campaign in 2004.

When I look at that photo, it's as if the VF photographer dressed her in black to represent and match the stretching shadows that you see in the background...coming from the other headstones. If not a photo-shop, it's certainly looks to be a choreographed photo-op.

She may not be able to buy a "headstone," only a marker. There are cemetaries in California (perhaps all by now), that forbid erecting traditional headstones.

How dare you?!
You lying, evil right-wing bastard!
Everyone knows she was just waiting for the crowd to show up in that picture, the rightist media made it look as if no one was there to buy her book...despicable!

I knew you'd know.

Looks like Vanity Fair doesn't have much of a vetting process, huh?
