Schwarzenegger's "Gay"-Lesbian Agenda
The New American Online ^ | 12-13-05 | William F. Hasper

After suffering an overwhelming defeat of all four of his "year of reform" measures in the November 8 special election, California's Republican governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, decided he had to shake up his cabinet. His appointment of Susan Kennedy as his new chief of staff registered a 9.9 on the political Richter scale & may have started a tsumani that will have enornous impact on Golden State politics. "The Governator" would have been hard pressed to find any candidate more certain to inflame & alienate the people who elected him to office.

What's so significant about Susan Kennedy? Here are a few clues:

Don't mind some of our local folks. They enjoy making things up as they go along. In this case 2 were false statements and one was a half truth.

Schwarzenegger didn't propose Prop 73, didn't cut a "car tax" and while he vetoed licensing non residents he also promised the legislature that he would work "something" out before he left office.

No. You responded to my facts with your usual negative copy and paste.
That's the point.

You're right, I left out Arnold's liberal decision on the death penalty.

He "pushed" 73, did cut the car tax and didn't "work something out" on licenses.

You too, have been talking nonsense since McClintock lost.
McClintock supports Arnold, too bad his "true conservative" fans don't.

Who cares if she's gay

When a social deviant is elevated to a position of high public trust and government leadership that appointment denigrates the electorate's trust in public governance and erodes the social fabric of the society.

A similar leveling downward occurred when an unscrupulous individual, the reputed architect of an unnecessary, multimillion dollar, state contract ostensibly approved for a recipricol, $25K campaign donation, is appointed to be the chief of staff of the next executive.

The Kennedy appointment is a genuine twofer. And yes, many in California care.

For the benefit of those not familiar with California's recent politics and codes.

1) The Abortion notification law he proposed has now become the initiative He "pushed".

That readjustment is factual.

2) He ... did cut the car tax.

Unfortunately the facts are otherwise. The VLF, an in-lieu-of property tax, is still collected and is still at a rate of 2% of assessed valuation. Registered owners of motor vehicles in California still pay the tax, in full, and the revenue is still redistributed to the local government were the vehicle is stored.

3) and didn't "work something out" on licenses.

No he hasn't to date but both the majority leader in the Assembly and the governor's spokesman have confirmed that the governor made an earnest promise to issue such licenses, hence the reference to a half truth.

Pesky little facts. Always intolerant of emotional outbursts when substance is absent.

It never ends.

I wouldn't be too harsh or distraught. The principal source of news in California is dominated by a liberal or uberliberal press. It is in the best interest of these media sources to promote and disseminate, productive urban myths regarding the political opposition. That manufactured news is also the chief source to the residents of other states and frames their view of the existing circumstances.

In this case the media's myth of Schwarzenegger insistence on fiscal conservatism in the face of practical reality serves two good purposes. It 1) keeps the Democrat base angered at a Republican official and 2) keeps the evermore diverse idealogical factions within the CAGOP involved in infighting instead of more productive pursuits.

Aiding and abetting this sound strategy is 1) the governor himself who goes to great length to promote his fiscal conservation to the Republican base while quietly moving California's fiscal policies to the left, 2) The RNC/CAGOP who whitewashes the governor's actions because they feel they have no viable candidate to replace him and 3) the further to the left the media can move the state's fiscal policy by providing a deceptive cover for Schwarzenegger's actions, the more difficult it will be for a fiscally conservative governor to backtrack.

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." George Santayana; 1905

In the mid 90's libertarians swarmed this forum attacking conservatives and Republicans. They eventually wore out their welcome and were dismissed.

Five years later moderate Republican loyalists invaded the forum with similar attitudes and demeanors toward conservatives. I suspect that they are doomed to repeat a similar experience.

Leave McClintock out of this.
Sure he got beat, but he now supports Arnold, rightfully.

Why would I find ANY of your anti-Republican monger points interesting?

Arnold has proven to be anti Abortion, anti-Union, anti-Tax, anti Licenses for Illegals and pro Death Penalty.
How about you?

---

Proven?
he didn't campaign for Prop 73 much if at all,

he hasn't cut the size of California gubamint, in fact it is growing, likely unions members, many of them, btw

it's not his fault higher local sales and parcel taxes and tuition fees are being imposed in place of taxes to offset drawdowns of property tax proceeds by the state ,

he would let illegals drive if they had a special mark on their license and could pass a background check

, but he did fry Tookie. OK, you get that one. ;-)

we won't talk about his signing a load of domestic partner legislation, almost doubling the size of the state longterm debt and getting ready to propose even more massive borrowing,,

Well, that almost makes him a republican. almost

Well if he's proven to be all those things, then go to bat for him on the thread why don'tcha, by all means. lol ;-)
