Exactly 1% are certain there is no God. But, the God they do not believe in is different for each nonbeliever.
61% of those who seldom or never attend church are nevertheless convinced that God exists
Could be that 61% of those who do not believe in God nevertheless attend church.

Only 5% feel God "does not exist" -- and even most of them "are not sure" of that. And government and big business will bend over backwards to cater to this minority.

1% are certain there is no God. So I guess Paul was right.
Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualitieshis eternal power and divine naturehave been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

Shows how powerful those 1% are.No it doesn't. It shows how powerful reality is. No matter how intensely those 96% try to pretend something is other than what it appears to be, it still doesn't appear to be anything other than what it is.

Frankly, those figures shock me.
Based on what you hear from the 5%'ers you would think this is becoming an increasingly godless country. Granted, this represents a wide variety of belief systems, but a belief in God is a start.

So they say ... but their actions and words in a different forum say otherwise.

Some 94% think God exists.
Only 5% feel God "does not exist" I'm not buying this.
Only 1% are agnostics?
And atheists outnumber agnostics by 5 to 1? -Tom
