Why shoud I? I have the feeling that if I tried, it would have the same practical effect of pissing into the wind.

Yeah, I got sick and tired of Mike Farrell thinking he's the smartest guy in the room, which he clearly is not.

Bye Bye Tookie Dookie Tooke, Tooke, Tookie, good bye
Tooke, Tooke, Tookie, don't cry!
Thanks for the new tagline!

II Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
God does not rejoice at the execution of anyone, however, He allows people to make their choices. Tookie made his.
Acts 17:30
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commanded all men everywhere to repent.
Tookie did not heed the command of God and is now probably paying heavily the price for this in hell.

That's what the media witness on ABC World News Now just said--that Tookie was *exasperated* because there was so much "sticking of needles" and more "sticking of needles" and "taping down" being done.
He said Williams kept lifting his head, looking around, and talking to the people in the room. Just *exasperated,* which is exactly the disgusting attitude this reporter had. Just *exasperated.* A whole 36 minutes' worth, start to finish. Too bad, so sad.

"The only thing I am celebrating is that I won't have to see that odious Mike Farrell on television for a while..."
Now THAT is a reason to celebrate! The Hollyweird twits will be silent in mourning for a while. At least I hope! I wonder if they're going to give a memorial for "Tookie"? Something along the lines of a Wellstone memorial maybe?
"...until he finds his next "cause" on which he can pose as the intellectual who understands the issues so much better than we of the great unwashed."
It's just a matter of time before these idiots jump on another bandwagon. I wonder what the next "chic" thing will be.

(One Wellstone memorial (rave party) is enough, thank you!)

And I'm quite put-off by the celebratory attitude that some people here are taking See my tagline. See Mark Twain's essay, "Lionizing Murders".

"And I'm quite put-off by the celebratory attitude[s] for mass murdering scum Yea, me too. Thank God this scumbag is dead despite their efforts. Yippie! Should have happened 25 years ago and saved the taxpayers alot of money.
Maybe these celebraties should rally and help VICTIMS of these animals.
To: Lonesome in Massachussets
You make me recall the famous quote from Admiral Stockdale, as Perot's VP candidate in a debate...."Who am I? Why am I here?" - attitudes like yours are making me think that about this forum. I must be in the wrong place since I don't find this event worthy of all out celebration...

I say this most respectfully now that Tookie is dead, that Tookie's execution should have been carried out in Compton,CA, in some public area. Following which his body should have been placed there for 24hrs to allow other "residents" to pay their respects. And after crows and rats had feed on his carcass for a week, he should be buried in an unmarked grave under a public way, so that his grave is constantly defiled by the hooves of donkeys, the wheels of carts and feet of travelers. Indeed, the old ways were best.

I just read an article linked from Drudge, it stated that Tookie was one of the meanest men in prison, that other inmates feared him, he made threts to othere inmates all the time he was in prison. So, I really don't think there was much good in this man, if any!

Some lady on tv right now is saying they will prove Tookie innocent & that Ahnold, the gov. of Calif. will be proven a murderer!!! The riots will commence soon, me thinks! The Venona decrypts. Or in this case dee Cripes.
They're all ever so innocent, Sacco and Vanzetti, the Rosenbergs, Alger Hiss (missed his appointment with hemp) and now po' little ole Tookie.

Nor do I. He got what he had coming.
But celebrating his execution in the manner being done by some here I find repugnant.

I always had faith justice would be done. The sad thing is so many people overlooked this man's brutality. All I can say to people contemplating a gang career is, if you don't want to end up like Stanley Williams, let his life be a warning and a reproach. Now there's a legacy for our young people to emulate, though not in the way the Left had meant.
(Denny Crane: "I Don't Want To Socialize With A Pinko Liberal Democrat Commie.Say What You Like About Republicans. We Stick To Our Convictions. Even When We Know We're Dead Wrong.")

You, too. Brilliant! Seriously, there are some issues that certain FReepers will lock onto like a pack of rabid hyenas. Echo-chamber and oneupmanship, ya know.
I'm just glad that Williams has gone to meet his Maker, and hopefully, this issue will die just like Tookie did.
