We have to be logical and understand that the US administration is subject to US public opinion," he said.
That's why GWB is so wildly popular over here. LOL

In addition, he announced his plan to shortly launch a television channel called The Message, which, within two years will broadcast to the United States to spread the right message. I hear AlGore has a station for sale at rock bottom prices.

And bin Talal is moving fast. On December 5, Reuters reported from Dubai that bin Talal complained: We in the Arab world are not doing the job of explaining ourselves properly. To remedy the situation, and to bring the proper message to Americas brightest minds, bin Talal said that he established special centers dealing with Arab and Islamic studies at Harvard and Georgetown universities. In addition, he announced his plan to shortly launch a television channel called The Message, which, within two years will broadcast to the United States to spread the right message. What a load of crap!. What he means is that they are not propagandizing hard enough. If they repeat this religeon of peace nonsense enough people will believe it(too late).
I still can't believe this quote: The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam. That's not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace....
Ten bonus points if you guess whpo said it.

I have no doubt there is propaganda in news organizations.
I can only imagine why he didn't buy into ABC, NBC, CNN, CBS, PBS.....on second thought ... I know why he didn't buy into them.

Prince al-Waleed bin Talal Raghead el Camel-Jockey can't buy the Internet.
And that's where the real media power is migrating.

Free press?? We don't have a free press. The NYT, WaPo, Time, Newsweek, NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN are all controlled and manipulated by the liberals. The bin Talal- Fox connection is alarming, but not outrageous.

Yeah right.
And BILL O'REILLY forced gas prices to fall because he pressured the BIG OIL COMPANIES.
One bogus story deserves another.

Saudi Prince al-Waleed bin Talal boasted in Dubai earlier this week about his ability to change the news content that viewers around the world see on television. This is about the point at which my commitment to democratic capitalism bottoms out.
I would tend to react to a successful grab of financial control of a vital media outlet like FOX by such a character as though it were an act of outright war. And not "financial war" but the old-fashioned kind.

"Controlling the news media seems to fit into the Saudis long-term plan, which Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal revealed on December 6, 2005." Controlling the U.S. news media was also a communist goal during the cold war, and they were quite successful as evidenced by our leftist MSM.

Saudi Prince al-Waleed bin Talal ....is he a good witch or a bad witch? ......a good Saudi Prince or one of the thugs that supports terrorism? There are so many princes, I can't keep em straight.

"I do convey to them the message about where I believe they went wrong."
He should buy up stock in MSNBC. He could have a field day.

You cannot destroy fair and balanced news now.
Buy up Fox News and turn it into another CNN and
very quickly a newcomer will take up the torch and
quickly ascend to the top spot again.
There is a proven market for news without the liberal
slant...and there are too many savvy business men that
would step in to fill the void.

There will come a day when there will be nor more oil in Saudi Arabia or anywhere else in the Middle East (or the world, for that matter), but before that great day, an alternative energy source will (have to) be discovered.
The money will dry up as well as the oil and the water. A true desert it will be...and the people of the world will rejoice! The tyrants will have no viable economy as they squandered said surplus on debauchery in Dubai and elsewhere for decades, instead of investing in their homeland. Oh well, the nouveau riche sand pipers will slither back into the dirt from whence they came. The end. :o)
