Full headline. Cut short due to length. Death penalty foes appeal for Williams' life Inmate's supporters gather in Oakland, S.F., and at prison

While we wait on Arnold, looks like the trash are coming out in order to try and save his life.

"They said that executing Williams would destroy one of California's most effective advocates for keeping children out of gangs. "

He can still serve as an object lesson of WHY to stay out of gangs.

The murderer-loving crowd is giving the full-court press treatment. Typical.

I'm against the death penalty, but this is not the life I'd take my stand on.

I wonder if the timing (this being so close to Christmas n'dat) will impact Arnold's decision.

I'm thinking of a death penalty trial held in Pittsburgh PA a decade ago. The jury found the perp guilty of multiple murders, then came the penalty phase of the trial, which was held on Good Friday. The perp's lawyer pleaded with the jury: "Please don't crucify my client like Pontius Pilate crucified Jesus Christ."

Because it was Good Friday, so close to Easter, the jury just couldn't bring themselves to approve the death sentence. They gave him life in prison instead.

These words caption a picture of the nun hugging Mike Farrel:
"The death penalty is not about redemption. It’s about freeze-framing a person in the worst act of their life." -- Sister Helen Prejean, anti-death penalty activist and author. She appeared at a news conference with actor Mike Farrell. Chronicle photo by Michael Maloney
Really. Let's not freeze-frame him. He always puts the toilet-paper on the roll with the paper hanging down, never "under-handed". He's really quite a guy. Let's not fixate on the 4 people he butchered (the 4 he butchered that we know about). Let's not freeze frame on that.

Olivo works for Rene Rubio's old company, Agile. There are about 30 people there, including founders Bruce Cassella (now a 2 star general currently in Iraq), Clint Walker and Dave hall.

This 'nun' certainly has her priorities screwed up!

"After Williams blasted a football-sized hole in Albert Owens' back as he lay face-down on the floor of the 7-Eleven where he worked, the gang leader laughed about the "gurgling" noises the 26-year-old divorced father of two made as he died, according to trial testimony.

"And after Williams gunned down Yen-I Yang, 76, his wife, Tsai-Shai, 63, and their daughter, Yee-Chen Lin, 43, when he robbed their family-run motel, he bragged of killing "Buddha-heads," according to his pals' testimony."

The death penalty should be legal, safe, and rare.
