Very good point. All the courts have spoken, and Arnold has clear guidance to deny clemency, but even with everything stacked in that direction -- there is now one undeniable fact, Arnold Shwarzeneggar will now decide whether a man lives or dies.

To me the decision is clear, but I do have to admit that I would still agonize over the decision.

Arnold is only human, and even with the support of all the courts and overwhelming evidence, it still comes down to him having the power over Tookie Williams life.

I can see granting mercy in exceptional circumstances and politics should never factor into it. Williams wasn't exactly a poster child for grace.
