The number of detained is 1,978 and includes an emir (insurgent cell chief) named Khalaf Fanus who was turned in to police forces by his family. This is the only way democracy will flourish in Iraq. Family or no family, terrorists will NOT BE TOLERATED.

About 2,000 people captured in just few weeks. What do we do with them? Providing good lodging, food, and health care? I wonder if some Iraqis (and outsiders) see this as a way to get free-lunch.

In some ways, I'm unhappy about the fact that they are still so plentiful that there are 2,500 plus of them to easily find and kill/capture in two weeks.
I'd like to dream of the day where it's not that easy to find them because they've become an endangered species, so to speak.

I think it's possible the entire insurgency movement could collapse very quickly, like a house of cards. That would deeply sadden their staunchest allies, the leftist Democrap party. It would also turn the calculus of middle east politics on its head, spreading democracy like wildfire. I can't wait.
