As a "boomer" I can only say my generation helped destroy America. Self-centeredness and crass materialism are our contributions. Is it too late to undo the harm we've done?

_____________________________________________________

Speak for yourself...I'm a first round 'boomer' and I'll stack my contributions to this country (and those of all my brothers and sisters) up against those of any previous group. If you think you've done harm then get busy and redeem yourself...just leave those of us who got it right out of your "I'm a boomer and we suck" party.

Two words: Leisure Suits.

All boomers share equal responsibility for those.

As with any "generation" there are the good and the bad. There were plenty of good Boomers who rejected the selfishness and kept American running. But the sort of Baby Boomer most often portrayed in the MSM is not that sort of person unless you read between the lines, for example, in the movie Apollo 13.

Well said and I agree completely.

Also the "greatest generation" was not so great in many ways.

Ditto for me too! The only "boomers" complaining that the "boomers" have destroyed things are the ones that haven't doen anything with their lives. I'm proud of what I've done and the children that I've raised. I won't be burden on society as I've prepared for my retirement (but, I will take the SS payments because I want to get back some of the large amount that I've paid in...) If you ask me, the ones that are getting the best of things are the ones who at one time had the worst of things, the Greatest Generation.
