With hat tips to FreePers Chris Dickson, Jenny Hatch, and ceogop (and apologies to any FreePers that I may have overlooked), I am again raising the point that we are to sport purple right index fingers this Monday-Thursday (Dec 12-15). Please see Purple Finger for Freedom and its directions for inking. Anyone with an appropriate ping list, please help spread the word. There have been far to few viewings of the aforementioned posts. Aye, maties, if we can wear the colors of our favorite football teams, we certainly can sport a purple finger for four days. Our soldiers, and the citizens of Iraq, have done much more than this simple act.

Do you suggest we use food coloring and does it come in purple?

If we did this on election day in America, with an ink that wouldn't fade away for a few days, democRATs could only vote once.

I don't cook, I thaw. So, I don't know. (Sorry.) I'm going to go with Purple Finger for Freedom's recommendations. However, it's not a bad idea for us to exchange ideas here. |

What a gesture of support that would be to see American purple fingers lifted into the air in support of their democracy! God bless our troops for giving the people in Iraq this wonderful opportunity to take their country back!

I have a new job that I can't afford to risk loosing (I know, compared to the sacrifice of our troops and the Iraqi's going to vote, this is pathetic.) I plan to try a tight fitting purple balloon on my finger on the metro bus trip to and from work.
At my old job, I would have covered my finger with indelible ink.

It would be a wipe out. Republican's would gain 70 to 80% of all offices.

Damn, FreeAtlanta, you are afraid that your employers might fire you for inking your finger purple to symbolize your hope that 24,000,000 Iragis become free?
Wow! Maybe we ought to free Atlanta first.
Ink your finger.

If you are of female persuasion get some purple nail polish and paint either all your nails or just the nails on your right hand.
If your a guy with daughters just tell your peers that your young daughter wanted to paint your nails and you just couldn't say no.

What a gesture of support that would be to see American purple fingers lifted into the air in support of their democracy! Exactly LUV! Our brave heroes BELIEVE in their mission and will be protecting the Iraqis as they cast their vote for a representative government and FREEDOM!!!
If millions of Americans sport the purple finger Dec. 12-15, it would a show of solidarity with our troops, their mission and those they have fought so hard to liberate.
Please spread the word (ping your list) of the "Purple Finger for Freedom" campaign and participate.

Wow, I guess your screen name is more than just a screen name!
If you feel that your job would seriously be in jeopardy, I love your idea of the purple balloon. We all can do something, anything, to help!
