I have to admit that I was just mesmerized by some of our speakers the night of the house vote and didn't take names or notes so I can't say if it was Dana or Duncan. I'm very proud of both of them since you two let us know how well they speak out for our side.

Thanks for nudging my memory,
grandma mac

Glad to see this.

Maybe it would be best to call his office. I call regularly. Using most of my long distance minutes on calls to traitorous politicians. I go thru the US Capitol switchboard so they don't know where I'm calling from.

I always make it a point to call Congressman Weldon offering support.

We have heroic republican members of Congress and the Senate. I hate when some here bash them all. Call them all spineless and useless.

The dems don't care where the military goes. Preferably to hell for all they care.

People love to bash Saudi Arabia....never realizing that if that Royal family is deposed we will be seeing an end to our energy supplies and the people will be subjected to a Taliban government, that will make their current restrictions seem wonderful.

We're watching a bit of that with the advent of the GOP hoisting the white flag in their face.

Ol' Cap'tn Kangaroo said it best. You can fool some of the people some of the time....

They sure got a good dose of that in their face with that video! The GOP needs to keep up that prophylactic therapy to kill this disease they're spreading.

These Democrat jerks keep making the claim of Bush Lied, without proof, while defending or ignoring the PROVEN lies their party perpetrated for years. The Democrat party is an utter disgrace and that's not speculation. It's proven and admitted to.

Wish the majority of American people could see it as clearly as you do. As far as the claim of "Bush lied" the old adage tell a lie often enough and it will become a fact (or there abouts) appears to be in operation with today's DemocRAT party and their willing their propaganda arm, the MSM. One exception is those that care to check on the new media and see if the MSM is telling us the truth can see through the RATS claims.

No amount of training is going to change him, nor will it change McCain. They are busy "triangulating" in order to appeal to moderates of both parties

Nailed it. McCain/Graham have a media strategy. They figure they can take a page from Clinton's book and "triangulate" themselves into the White House in 2008. No matter how fervently activists might wish it, there is NO way for a President, or a Political Party to compel a Senator to tow the party line if he/she decides to go off the reservation. If people are angry with Graham, they should be ringing Sen Graham's phone off the hook. The ONLY person who can reign in Lindsey Graham for them IS Lindsey Graham

If we try to get folks out of denial that there's a problem here

Sitting here posting day after day after day hundreds of the same tired old posts MAY make the complainers FEEL better, it does NOTHING to solve the problem.

What most of us Freepers WANT is a mature adult discussion of the real issue with real ideas about solutions not this constant hyper negative regurgitating of the same old worn out talking points by people who really have NO clue how the process works. Blaming the Leadership for the misconduct of some of the Senators is a cop out used by people to AVOID actually doing things themselves. There seems to be this mindset among a dozen or so Freepers that if they are complaining constantly they are some how "doing" something about the problem. No, what they are doing is wasting time. Rather then post hundreds of "oh poor us" whines here on Free Republic, how about the people who are angry call up Garham's office every day and repeat their beef to his staff? THAT will have an impact. Posting the same complaint here over and over and over and over and over and over and over does NOTHING. Sorry if you were under the illusion that posting your complaint here on Free Republic SOME HOW made a difference. It doesn't.

Most Freepers are tired of listening to the Whine All The Time Choir screaming for someone to come save them. If people are pissed at Lindsay Graham ONE PERSON can fix that problem for them....Linsday Graham. Not Karl Rove, Not George Bush, Not Jim Robinson. There is NO one who can ride to your rescue. YOU have to do the heavy lifting, not sit around crying for someone to do it FOR you.

"My wish is that he would give interviews to people like John Gibson rather than NBC. No doubt, they will edit and add some antiwar protesters"

I wish he would do Fox with Brit, another with Tony Snow and then an Hour each with Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham and Hugh Hewitt. The reason they pick NBC is they have the largest broadcast market share. NBC will reach the largest single market share but going to Rush plus Fox et al would get their message out without NBC getting the shot at filtering it thru the DNC spin machine first.

Here is an effective way to get change in Washington.

By A.Hun
He has been taken to task for his previous blunders, but refuses to listen to his constituents. Because of that, we need a coherent strategy now to dump him in 2008, along with derailing any chance McCain might have of garnering the nomination. (We did that before.)

Why he is behaving this way is IMHO that McCain has clued him to his strategy, enlisted Graham's aid, and promised him a place on the ticket or high in the cabinet if it works.

This is not why the average SC Republican voted for him, and as ex-Governor Beasley knows, South Carolinians don't like being deceived.

Possibly some Freeper in SC or the region would be in the position to get some kind of public campaign to Dump Graham moving.

I don't think it would change Graham, but it might make him keep his mouth shut until we could get rid of him in 2008.

but I remember hoping that President Bush would NOT give these guys one on one interviews anymore.

President Bush is in such a Catch 22. If he GIVES interviews Talking Heads like Mike Savage freak out at him for talking to the media. If he DOESN'T talk to the Media they freak out cause "Bush needs to fight back".

I agree with you. I wish they would talk to their friends like Rush, Brit et al and tell the rest to go play with themselves.

YUP. A couple of weeks ago, McCain and Graham were at something together (I forget what or where) and McCain said when he introduced Graham "Some people have said this man would make a great VP in 2008"

Hon, just a little note to you regarding your condescending post. If you honestly think that all I do is whine about the president, you're sadly mistaken. I will not bother to detail for you just what I've done to try and support the president and his election in 2000 and re-election in 2004, but suffice to say that I have a hand written letter from him that I've framed and am looking at right now.

And I can see that it's never occurred to you that all the posts about the relationship between Iraq/AQ that the administration seems intent on ignoring has generated a lot of replies to me over the year from people who did not know about the relationship and have used those posts of mine and the links I've gathered over the years to send to other people via their private e-mails. And some of those people have turned around and tried to educate the Republicans.

Now you may think that's nothing, but from what I can see, it's a heck of a lot more than you've ever done on FR. Your entire modus operandi seems to be to yell at those who don't think the administration is perfect. That so helpful./ extreme sarcasm

And who is blaming the leadership for misconduct among Senators? I am blaming directly the leadership for not using the issue on their own. Although it would be helpful if they would try and educate the Senators and get those talking points out. That is PART of leadership.

And as long as there's denial that there is a problem, then freepers like you will not do what freepers do best. Activism with letters and phone calls. Something you clearly aren't doing because of your own denial and trying to get other people to buy into your limited mindset.

Murtha is just engaged in minor triangulation--he needs to divert attention form his misdeeds of funneling dod contracts to pelosi's relatives among others. Major league scandal there if it ever sees the light of day.

I really meant the Sunday shows. The administration has been known to make certain folks available for the Sunday shows. No doubt there is a preferred list with McCain and McHagel at the top. Followed by anyone willing to bash the President and/or the administration.

Allen/Rice 2008 sounds like a winner to me.

I met Senator Allen at a fund raiser this week. He is very very cool and a very good speaker. He is an unabashed Reagan Republican. I told him I hoped he ran in 2008. Going to donate to his 2006 campaign even though he does not yet have a challenger in the hopes if he raises enough $$$, he runs for President

Yup - we will all be lining up in the queue again just like in 1973. Odd license plates can buy gas on MWF and even license plates can buy on TTS. Sunday they all close. Probably limit each purchase to 5 gallons. AND THEN WE WILL HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE LIBS AND THEIR FRIENDS IN THE MSM TELL US ALL ABOUT THE OIL SHIPS SITTING OFFSHORE IN ORDER TO CREATE THE SHORTAGE. It is all so much Bull Sh$t that I can hardly stand it anymore.
