.......that Rush Limbaugh and Laura Ingraham are going to have a field day........

Speaking of Laura; if I were head of CBS I would install Laura Ingraham as nightly anchor with a contract stating the job is hers as long as she remains atop the evening news ratings. Once her numbers drop for a week or so, then she is gone.

I think she would have that job for a very, very long time.

Biden: Some Democrats think it's the bottom of the ninth inning and some it's the bottom of the eighth. Biden's one who thinks it's the bottom of the eighth...

...and therefore it's 4th and 1, with a chance to make 1 out of 2 with no time remaining for a service break on the 18th hole.

Some days I think that Tony Snow is right and we ARE the stupid party.

I do not understand why Republicans aren't talking about WMD being sent to Syria before 3/03. We have satellite photos and credible intelligence that suggests this.

I do not understand why Republicans aren't talking about the relationship that Al Qaeda had with Saddam going back to the 90's. This is provable.

Take away those two arguments from the Democrats and they will have NOTHING left to argue regarding the war that sounds remotely credible.

I just do NOT understand why the administration isn't prepping these guys. Not that they should HAVE to prep them, but since the Republican Congress is so clueless

The information is out there for all to read

Hell .. we read it all .. why can't the Republicans in Congress do their job and read it too

This is NOT the WH's fault

It's Congress' fault - they are adults .. they should start acting like it

Jeff should have mentioned that reenlistment rates are up, especially in Iraq. Murtha's nonsense about stationing troops over the horizon should also have been challenged. Kuwait wouldn't want that many troops being stationed on its soil for a number of reasons, including making them a target of AQ.

The people we are fighting in Iraq are the same people who were responsible for 9/11, the bombing of our embassies in East Africa, the USS Cole, WTC I, Madrid, London, Bali, etc. I wonder why Murtha isn't calling for withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Like we are trying to push McCain, Hagel & Grahams, they are trying to push Liberman. Difference is, media is helping them so that not one dem.is in support of WOT.

"I just do NOT understand why the administration isn't prepping these guys"

The President has his hands full with the WOT, National Security, keeping the economy perking, etc.

The RNC is the place for statement cohesion, talking points, practice & preparation, IMHO.

I never thought that a few housewives on FR (us) could defend the administration's rationale for war better than the administration or Republican Congressmen.

I'm becoming a DESPERATE HOUSEWIFE!

Was Biden suggesting that, among the unspecified other powers that we need to bring in to the process in Iraq, is Iran? He was complaining the US Ambassador to Iraq, whom he refers to familiarly as Kal, not being allowed to speak to Iran until recently. I think that's what I heard.

Oh, I agree completely that Congress is in a better position to defend the president and the war. But since they aren't doing it, the administration figured out a few weeks ago that they will have to be the ones doing it.

I certainly hope that Rove is calling some of these Republicans and taking them to task. Or holding seminars and giving them talking points.

Lindsey Graham is not unaware of the facts. He chooses to ignore them for his own reasons, which I believe are linked to his political ambition and his desire to be a VP candidate with McCain.

No amount of training is going to change him, nor will it change McCain. They are busy "triangulating" in order to appeal to moderates of both parties.

How come we never see Inhofe on television, except on Fox, and then only rarely? Answer: Inhofe argues the facts and won't stab the President in the back.

Graham accomplished exactly what he set out to do.

I read the entire article anita it is truly priceless. This well written piece shows just what some of the major talk show hosts have been saying for some time now it's impossible to be against the war and for the troops it's a double standard that just won't work. This article explains why. Great pick anita.

Russert read a letter that Graham wrote a few years ago about the linkage between Iraq and Al Qaeda. When Russert asked, do you still believe that, Lindsey said that obviously he was wrong.

I'm not so certain that Lindsey did what he set out to do. I think he hasn't done his homework and has been brainwashed into believing there was no pre-existing relationship. Even the administration doesn't talk about a pre-existing relationship, which is quite surprising.
