In a word, AWESOME!!!!!
If you get the chance, go see Trans Siberian Orchestra in concert. Last night, they said that they were planning to come to Phoenix and Tucson again next year...last night was sold out.
If you can imagine a marriage between heavy metal and the classics, with a little bit of the blues and Charles Shultz thrown into the mix, then you can get an idea of what you're in for.
Nana bought the tickets because she thought it would be a great gift for me, and she'd put on her game face and sit through the concert. As it turns out, she enjoyed it almost as much as I did!!
Between sets, while we were standing to applaud the performers, the band's lead guitarist asked us to show our appreciation for our service personnel deployed overseas. The audience kicked it up a notch after that!
Okay, it's time to run '06 back up to Tucson to get a new cast and X-rays. His Ortho surgeon wants to make sure the cast is good after the swelling went down, and to give his leg a chance to breathe for a bit. I'm bringing nose plugs!!
Good mornin' Hijinx! Good to see you...for the moment. Gotta go to work now. That concert sounds awesome for sure. See ya later!
Safe journey with '06, and praying that the healing is all going well and the bones are kniting perfectly. Nose plugs are probably an excellent idea.
Who is '06 and what happened? Glad you enjoyed the concert, and they made tribute to our awesome troops!!
Take care Jinxie.
Thank you for the education, DieHard. I mean that sincerely. Your country's contribution is all the more valued. My impression is that New Zealanders are a practical, common sense people and wouldn't humor much in the way of airhead liberalism; but, that's just my general impression.
Yer right about the Pacific; she covers one-third of the earth's surface! And I'm on the other side of it from you, on what we call the Left Coast (grr-rr) of the U.S.A.
FRegards,
'Dita
Thanks, Kathy. I was writing to a soldier in 56th BCT for the past year and a half, and am so THRILLED that he is home!!! I'm hoping to meet him eventually or at least talk on the phone!!
WOO HOO!!
