How are the brakes? Brakes, you wanna know about brakes? Well here ya go!
The Veyron has a lot of other tricks up its carbon-fiber sleeve. When the brakes are activated at high speed, the rear wing tilts to 70 degrees, creating what is effectively an air brake should the 15-inch carbon-ceramic disc brakes not prove to be enough. Here is a fun fact: In a panic stop from 253 mph, the Veyron comes to a halt in less than 10 seconds hard enough to pull the sunglasses off your face

The braking system is similar to the Soyuz: a set of parachutes and retro-rockets.

Re: Brakes. Folks, I think billhilly is refering to the story that Etorre Bugatti in the 1930's recieved a letter from a woman customer complaining about her Bugatti's brakes.
His reply: "Madam, my cars are made to go, not to stop."

How are the brakes? At 235 MPH you would need one of these:

Happily, stopping distances become irrelevant because you wont see the obstacle in the first place. By the time you know it was there, youll have gone through the windscreen, through the Pearly Gates and be half way across Gods breakfast table. Review
About $1,200,000 (plus tax).
