Thanks, Mia.

Had almost repressed memories of the bottom scum, Harold Ickes, too. Assume he continues to fund raise for the beast and blackmail any threat the Clintonistas fear.

Mia T, as always, an interesting analysis of the Klintoons. Indeed, 9/11 shifted the political landscape in a way that makes "the third way" a path too far. You can't appear to the security-conscious moms and dads of today and, at the same time, appease the growing chorus of voices from leftist Democratic party. You can't triangulate between Mr. & Mrs. Average Joe and Michael Moore, Babs Streisand, MoveOn.Org, Nancy Pelosi, Howard Dean and the rest of the defeat-America sell-outs. Keep up your good work.

Hillary won't win ... she is far to polarizing a figure. She grates on people, she reminds many men of their first wife, and the baggage she brings to a presidential candidacy will all be re-visited. There's no way in h*** Hildabeast will ever see the Oval Office (the one her husband besmirched) as President ... it won't happen; ever.

The republicans would have to put up even a bigger buffoon than John Kerry was/is for Hillary to win.

Can THAT happen? That's the question.

..to rational, reasonable, normal thinking Americans, it would be a cold day in a very hot place before a woman of Hillary's ilk would see the oval office--but remember there are millions out there who do not operate by truth and logic, but with irrational emotion.

The best analogy I have ever heard is Hillary being compared to Evita Peron--murderously ambitious, ruthless and totally without concience.

Keep those journalistic swiftboats on patrol!

Below is a link to an article on Hitlery in the latest Newsweek by Eleanor Clift. Clift takes the opportunity to villify the former first lady for her phony moves to the center. She brings up the possibility of another Al Gore candidacy, and she sings the praises of Virginia Governor Mark Warner. Could this be the beginning of the "Vast Left Wing Conspiracy" against Hillary?

Hillary CAN win.

Thx Mia T for another GREAT post with your usual excellent background reasearch. Outstanding!

Hillary CAN and WILL win.

I order to retain the White House, the Republicans will need the most passionate groundswell of support they have ever had, even greater than 2000, when the Clinton corruption caused many conservatives to give up their jobs temporarily (like I did for two months) to aid in the campaign.

The socialist budgets and the hard drift to the left by Bush and nearly all Republicans in Congress has depressed so many true conservatives that they will stay home in 2006 and 2008.

Demographics are constantly at work, and every year, there is another large group of voters who are children of nontaxpayers; nontaxpayers have a much higher birthrate than taxpayers. The illegal aliens will be voting in far greater numbers than in 2000. Another four years of demographics working against conservatives will also take its toll.

The very liberal moves by Bush and his push for amnesty for illegals will hand the White House to Hillary.

It is not just Bush. Even Santorum, Grassley and Frist (besides his failure to go nuclear) have done some very liberal jawboning just recently:

EXAMPLES (excerpt from a post I made just minutes ago on another thread):

1] Senator Santorum (RINO-PA) wants to give/follow the UN guidelines and give a fixed % of our GDP to global charity.

2] Senator Charles Grasley (RINO-IA) wants to force the oil industry to give a fixed % of their profits to the poor.

3] Senator Bill Frist (RINO-TN) said he would accept a windfall profits tax on the oil industry.

END excerpt

Besides you normal RINOs like McCain, Snowe, Chafee, etc., even those many consider normal conservatives have gotten quite socialist/statist.

Hillary WILL win in 2008. The Republicans turning their backs on everything we believe in will depress the passion and enthusiasm to support Republicans by conservative voters.

Is it possible to prevent this? Sure! But the Republicans will have to do a 180 degree change in focus, priorities, and revert to putting the USA as #1, not foreign governments, and will have to cut the budget by at least $500 billion to start a path back toward LIMITED GOVERNMENT (a term not even used anymore among elected Republicans).

That ain't gonna happen, MIA. Hillary WILL win.

This thread is being saved to hard disk for post 2006/2008 discussion.

Isn't HRC's greatest asset that of "inevitability"? Most people expect her to win easily in 2008, and, therefore, she will unless she stumbles badly. I have always believed that much of her support comes from the lower classes who still believe that the alias "Bill" will be in charge in an HRC presidency.
