Tonight is a re-run, Coast to Coast fans. Right now, George and some ***clown are talking about John Titor, a guy who posted on the internet as a time traveler.
You can't make up this stuff. Oh, wait. Yes you can.
Excellent. They have a picture of John Titor's website --- johntitor.com
John Titor warned us about the Constitution. The Patriot Act. Oh, no. The Patriot Act.
Is John Titor a case where we can violate the Prime Directive?
-Dan
John Titor would not give us sports tips or stock tips. It bugged him when people asked which stocks to buy, not which ones to sell.
Dec. 10, 2000. Someone asked who would win SuperBowl. Mentioned something about New York City. Oh, my. The Giants lost the SuperBowl. Titor said the IRS would be abolished.
You just predicted what he said, scary.
I wish Titor would hook up with the guy from the future who confronted Dan Rather.
I predict he'll talk about cloning.
And Richard Ceeeee Hoaxland is a real scientist...
Do you mean Kenneth?
George thinks consumer spending not business investment drives the economy?
He wasn't Kenneth. He thought Rather was Kenneth.
Hey, we're talking about George. The shadow people and chupacabra guy.
There was a very good reason for that....
Too funny. This ***clown Oliver is talking as if the guy really exists.
For a guy who's always slamming C2C, you sure seem to listen to a lot of it #8-)
I have a friend who has the same attitude toward the show as you. Back when Art Bell was still the show's primary, I had a discussion with that friend where I credited Art Bell with being akin to our contemporary PT Barnum, pointing out that the show apparently brings in some pretty decent advertising $$'s and has a pretty substantial audience, and as with Barnum, we are being intellectually lazy to call them (Bell, Noory & Co.) ridiculous and overlook the fact that they have identified a good number of suckers, possibly using astrology to determine the precise minute they were born.
Within a night or two of this conversatiion, the showed featured a pretty loopy guest. I don't even recall who or what the topic was, but a number of callers were questioning not only the guests credibility, but Art's as well, and made some pretty heated accusations about Bell trying to deceive, propagandize for certain causes, etc.
Art basically called a time out and essentially addressed the audience and explained his philosophy by stating that anyone smart enough to turn on the radio should be smart enough to make up their own mind as to a guests credibility. He stated C2C was merely a forum for more controversial views to be presented, views that had no hope whatsoever of hitting the mainstream media (which presents its fair share of dubious info.).
I'm just curious why you start threads to ridicule C2C (I concur and agree that a good bit of it is ridiculous) instead of moving along up or down the dial.
Just sent a 'fast blast' asking about George's own time travel scam.
