We will not be playing all the artists and versions that we have. We don't have the space, but we feel you'll get enough variations to enjoy yourself. Background Information: The Englishman, John Francis Wade, wrote both the words and the music, Adeste Fideles. The Musical score was first published in 1782 in Samuel Webbe's An Essay on the Church Plain Chant in 1782. John Francis Wade first included it in his own 1751 publication of Cantus Diversi. The lyrics were first published in 1760. If you hear someone using tissues, it's MoJo. This song has watery effects. To our British and Aussie allies, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Background Info: Joy to the World The words and lyrics of the old Christmas carol 'Joy to the World' were written in 1719 by Isaac Watts (1674-1748). The father of John Watts was a Non-conformist and so extreme were his views that he was imprisoned twice. His father's influence over Isaac was demonstrated when he choose to attend Nonconformist Academy at Stoke Newington in preference to a University. Watts was ordained as a Pastor of an Independent congregation. He wrote many hymns and Carols and was awarded a Doctor of Divinity degree by the the University of Edinburgh in 1728. The music to the carol is by George Frederick Handel (1685-1759). MoJo Thought: Have you ever noticed while reading articles that when referring to GOD that many folks decide to write it *G-D*? What is that? Is it supposed to mean that it is less potent and offensive by keeping the *o* from appearing? My suggestion to these folks isn't to use God at all. If you can't add the *o*, don't write it. This is true for those of you that believe or don't.

I first watched A Charlie Brown Christmas on Dec. 9, 1965. I was ten. Now, Mikey is watching it (although he may not understand it for a few years yet, he delights at the music).
On the 40th anniversary, read about The Christmas Classic That Almost Wasn't.
"We told Schulz, 'Look, you can't read from the Bible on network television ...'
...Charlie asks if anyone can explain to him what Christmas is all about.
"Sure, I can," says his friend Linus, who proceeds to recite the story of the birth of Jesus from the book of Luke in the King James Version of the Bible. "And suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 'Glory to God in the Highest, and on Earth peace, and goodwill toward men,' " Linus says. "And that's what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown."

Getting ready for OSU on TV. Basketball at 2:30 PM on CBS.
Had to get this morning's Oklahoman at the rack. Our carrier inadvertantly threw the paper over the fence and Bo the black lab shredded it into little tiny pieces.:-D

Hello, everyone! I hope that everyone is having a good day.
However, I am in a quandary as to what action to take.
There are football games on TV today and being the football nut that I am, I have to decide whether to watch the football or post music in the FR Canteen.
Man, talk about mixed emotions. It's the absolute worst case.....well, no.....the 2nd worst case of mixed emotions there could possibly be.
It's almost as bad as seeing your mother-in-law drive over the cliff in your brand new Porsche!
