HUDSON FALLS -- Banana Boy is supposed to be a superhero. But his powers couldn't get him out of a trip to the village police station Thursday afternoon.
An actor playing the part of a mythical superhero by the name of Banana Boy was arrested Thursday along with two of his friends after police came upon what appeared to be a fight in a Main Street parking lot.
They came under police scrutiny because they were acting out a fight in which one of the actors, Luke Van Scoy, 17, of South Glens Falls, accosted a man wearing a large yellow banana custom with a knife.

If I were this top banana, I'd a-peel to higher authorities. If the judge sentenced me I'd yell "NUTS" and split. What a maroon maraschino double dip yellow-bellied moon pie this guy is, most likely--actually I'm not sherbet about that. Can we all scream for ice cream, as this thread ripens and gets a bunch of views?

If he had been convicted, I'm sure there would have been an appeal.

Any police department or DA's office that has time to pursue this type of stupid charge is seriously overstaffed. I'd recommend laying off police officers and DAs until they are too busy to charge people for no particular reason.
