Word spread that Gawley’s door was defaced with a swastika. A student critical of Gawley’s editorial sent him an indescribably insipid e-mail that not only excused the swastika but also suggested Gawley was asking for it. The student urged Gawley to ask himself, “Is there something I'm doing that is offending people? What can I change about my behavior?” He, no doubt, attended one of Occidental’s sensitivity training sessions.

The same apologist-student asked, “Did you ever think that someone drew a swaztika [sic] on your door because they think you represent hate?” Seemingly excusing the incident, the student concluded his e-mail with a misguided left-wing mantra: “Try asking yourself, what could I have done that would make someone do this to me? If the answer is nothing, you need to look deeper.” One could only wonder how this student might console a Holocaust survivor: “Did you do anything to upset Hitler?”

You know, this is tame compared to some of the accounts I have read. When something really bad happens you just know who will be blamed, the victims.

Conservative students who are commonly attacked by students and especially faculty and given no recourse should not feel they are above a lawsuit. If it is a state college or university they should sue the state for 'official oppression'.

If I had to live my life all over again, I'd skip college and take any job I could find. The PC indoctrination and feminist man-hate propaganda is not what young guys are looking for today. Like $40,000 a year worth of Leftist pap at Occidental College. Heck, I can read that in the Los Angeles Times for $144.00 a year (excluding Sundays). I wonder if this student was forced to wear a gold "C" for "Conservative", like the Jews in Nazi Germany were forced to wear the Star of David, if it would "offend" those more sensitive than Mr. Gawley? But to lead a liberal to knowledge to make him smarter is like leading a horse to water to make it drink....

Those who ascribe a 'swastika' to a Conservative are in fact. . .the 'swastika-carriers' who in turn are identifying their enemies; as did the Nazis. The Nazis, of course, did not use their 'own swastika'. . .but rather a star to recognize their enemies. . .and/or a number, in many cases. . .
