You know, this is tame compared to some of the accounts I have read. When something really bad happens you just know who will be blamed, the victims.

Conservative students who are commonly attacked by students and especially faculty and given no recourse should not feel they are above a lawsuit. If it is a state college or university they should sue the state for 'official oppression'.

I can honestly say that while there are droves of leftists on my campus, I don't see any outright harrassment of conservatives, and never once have I personally been censored or even challenged for my views. (I'm not exactly the first choice to invite to speak to campus groups, either, although I get my share).

I do get the sense that some students are intimidated in some classes, but based on how some of the lib students respond to me, I think it's pretty "open and tolerant" in all directions.

However, I have heard through the grapevine that some philosophy classes spend half their time trying to refute what I teach in my into level Western Civ classes, so at least that is time not spent on their own indoctrination.
