the dixie chicks managed to get a nomination for a song that was never released as a single..isnt on ANY album....you could download it on itunes, bit it did miserably there...peaked at #67 on the billboard charts... and received little airplay and even less interest from the country community in general. However it will be most likely be on an upcoming album ... some labels pay out big for promotion and Sony has spent more money on paying for nominations and airplay etc etc for the chicks than they have for any other artist in the labels hystory. The grammys are a sham.
The dixie chicks released the song for "charity" and will walk away with more in the grammy gift baskets than any of the victims that they swore the song was to raise money for will EVER recieve. They are opportunistic parastic leaches who will do anything for shameless self promotion including exploiting victims of America worst natural disaster. they are pond scum, and thats being generous...
W would wipe the floor with that(radio edit. I would pay good money to see it! Is the guy out of his mind, he wouldnt last one round!

I'm not sure we've ever had President in as good of shape as W. Maybe Abe Lincoln.
Teddy Roosevelt was a very outdoorsy and active person. He carried around extra weight, but that was the fashion then. He still strikes me as someone you wouldn't want to tangle with.

The Soundtrack from "Brokeback Mountain" didn't make?
I don't want my music to be peppered with obscenities - nor, my films for that matter (Hitchcock must surely be spinning in his grave).
So, I'll start caring about the Grammy Awards again, when the culture vultures stop degrading themselves and us, and start caring about our culture, our children, our future.
See my post #27
You laugh, but if the movie bombs because of the "homophobic" moviegoing public, you might see it get nominated. Definitely count on CMT (Viacom) pushing any music videos made from the movie. In a year, they'll be showing the movie every couple of weeks on CMT.
Good thing I de-programmed CMT from my DISH.
Just an update - the Chicks were shut out.
Best Country Performance by a Group With Vocal or a Duo:
"Restless" by Alison Krauss and Union Station
Best Country Song:
"Bless the Broken Road" by Rascall Flatts
But get this: Best Female Country Vocal Performance nominees were Faith, Gretchen, Lee Ann Womack, Trisha, and Emmylou Harris. Pick the one you haven't heard on country radio in the past year and you picked the Grammy winner. BOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! Grammies suck.
The were IGNORED by everyone there. Did they even show up cause I dont see one pic floating around of them at the grammys!! LOL! Its like they dont' exists and after all the money they have shelled out to be in the "rock family" you know they are pissed about it!! LOL~
