DRUDGE EXCLUSIVE: GOP TO LAUNCH 'WHITE FLAG' DEM ATTACK
The Drudge Report ^ | December 8, 2005 | Matt Drudge

Posted on 12/08/2005 3:46:41 PM PST by new yorker 77

The DRUDGE REPORT has learned from a top GOP operative that the Republican National Committee will provide state parties with a web video prior to release tomorrow afternoon that shows a white flag waving over images of Democrat leaders making anti-war remarks.

The ad is in response to the controversial comments Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean and 2004 Democratic Presidential nominee John Kerry made earlier in the week.

A Democratic strategist who had the web ad described to her said, “This is way over the top but we have no one to blame but Dean, Kerry and others who continue to pander to the anti-war activists within our party.”

The web video advances the Republican contention that the Democrats only have a “retreat and defeat” message on the war in Iraq.

The video highlights the effect Democrats can have on the morale of U.S. soldiers.

One Republican strategist familiar with the ad said, “The Democrats, especially Howard Dean have a way of trying to turn the tables and say ‘that’s not what I meant’ – its just those ‘evil Republicans’ This video will make them crazy – it reinforces what they really believe with what they actually said – and that is devastating for the Democratic Party.”

I think it would make an impression if we all just waited until the next round of phonebanking for donations. Especially those of us who have burned a few ears these past months. Agree to a moderate donation and make sure we tell them that this is for standing up and calling the traitors out, but we still have a few other issues.....

The last young man who called me and got my rant, admitted that he had been hearing a LOT of the same and that it had gotten passed back up the chain.

This President has been underestimated since day one. I will wait to see how this all turns out.

At least Arnold was a GREAT war hero before he turned traitor; unlike Kerry and Murtha and Dean.

Kerry hates the soldiers. Obvious by his words and deeds. He only whishes that he had been a real soldier instead of a whiny wimp with fake injuries. He's dispicable.

I think he hated them way back then too. he thought he was smarter than all of them, he alone knew how to "play the system", get the medals he needed for his political career, and get out.

May I make a suggestion?

If you donate to the RNC, and not direct to a candidate, make it to the Committee supporting the re-election of House Republicans.

I have some problems with them, ANWR being key at the moment, but overall I'm not embarrassed by them. Infuriated at times, but not embarrassed.

The Senatorial Committee is another entirely different subject altogether.

Could this be the beginning of the GOP finally growing a backbone?

A backbone isn't what I thought of. A pair of B???S, yeah, thats the ticket

Be glad I do not know photoshop....

Imagine what could happen to a donkey with those tusks....

Then again I can think of a few others modified photos with a donkey, but this is a family program...

It's really sad to see that even with this fantastic news about the GOP using the libs' own words against them in a hard-hitting ad, some FReepers on here will somehow find a way to use this to bash the GOP for "not doing enough."

How about being grateful when the GOP actually does something laudable?

Could it be the Republican Party has finally found its spine and is showing a bit of intestinal & testicualr fortitude? About damn time...only about 5+ years late...

On the other hand, thinking in election term cycles, the 2004 election was too close to the war for the RATs to make a stink and the DEMs weren't going to make in-roads with the cast of characters they ran.

The Pubbies allowed the RATs enough rope, and now is the time to ratchet up the politics in time for the 2006 primaries. It has to be that genius Rove at work again. He made sure the Pubbies kept their powder dry, knowing that Kerry/Dean/Reid/Pelosi just couldn't keep their fat traps shut and off camera.

I will say this: If the Pubbies planned all this, it sure takes a lot of discepline to take a beating until it was time to unleash.

This is just great stuff. It is better than an episode of a favorite show when the Repubs actually hold the Dims to their treacherous words.
I can't wait to see the ad and how well the RNC has "cherry picked" all of the recent comments that have been made. There are a plethora to choose from but you know the so called leaders will be highlighted.
Demento Dean, Heinz-Kerry, Dingey Harry, Stretch Pelosi, "The Swimmer" Kennedy, Murtha F-er, Dick Turbin, and the destestable Clintoons should all be skewered with the white flag in my opinion.
Did I leave anyone out?

If the Dems want to politicize the war by attacking Bush as a liar while our guys are dying, then we can politicize the war, too.

Give them some of the same stuff.
