The anti-American Marxist front group Code Pink has announced that they are canceling their planned trip to Cuba this month as a result of pressure by the Bush administration.
Code Pink, which calls itself a peace group, had timed the trip to Fidel Castro's communist paradise to celebrate the anniversary of the success of his violent revolution this New Year's Eve. Plans for the trip included visits with local neighborhood groups that spy on fellow Cubans and report any counter-revoultionary behavior (like wanting freedom) to the Castro regime.
The United States has maintained a strict travel embargo against Cuba which Code Pink was proudly vowing to violate.
However, the Treasury Department recently sent 'cease and desist' letters to Code Pink, its parent organization Global Exchange and some trip participants warning them of the legal repercussions of violating the travel ban: fines of up to one million dollars and ten years in prison.
As a result, Code Pink says several of the participants decided to cancel their plans to stand up against the Bush administration in solidarity with Fidel Castro.
Code Pink said those cancellations denied them the "safety in numbers" they felt they needed--whatever that means.
Bottom line, Code Pink is too cowardly to really stand up to President Bush, but brave enough to protest wounded American soldiers outside military hospitals.

So much for Code Punk.
Sent email to John and Ken per our discussion.
Thanks for the ping!
When I was in Cancun at the airport I saw a small airline that was selling tickets to Cuba. I was curious so I asked as a US citizen what I would need. Answer: Your credit card and a drivers license.
It seems there are little restrictions going to/from Cuba and the US Gvt might not even know you are there. I could be wrong but that is what I was told.
BTW, the fair was $55 US one way and $99 RT.
Meaning they didn't even feel safe in their beloved Communist dictator's "utopia."
Me, I'm puzzled why Code Pink couldn't go to Cuba, but the Los Angeles City Council could...and under the guise of learning from a Communist dictator how to manage an American metropolis!
Uh-huh. No passport needed, eh?
Someone was blowing smoke at ya.
Ah, should they change thier name to "Code Yellow" ?
They could go to Chavez's Venezuela! They would get Cuba without the travel ban. When they get there, they should stay and never come back.
I'm still laughing. Boo hoo, pinkos.
the US Gvt might not even know you are there. I could be wrong but that is what I was told.
Code Pink does not want to go anonymously. They are all about photo-ops.
BTW, I noticed that Gail Murphy has a wedding ring on. I have no clue if she is married to a gal or a guy. But I pitty IT.
Aw, couldn't they just have made it a one way trip? The Code Pinko's think it's such a paradise.
In Code Pink's own words, "Grow some balls."
For weeks they've been fussing about the "arrangements". Now it's cancelled. More lies from Code Pinko.
LOL....ROTFLMAO!!!
bttt
pinkos lie. bump!
My personal life is none of your durned business!
You are funny, are you suffering from "sarcasm" too, it's a good thing! Hey I think a lot of us on these threads are, what do you'll think? A sign of intelligence or ???
